Where to find the Molten Vault in PoE 2
Completing side quests is generally good for fast-tracking your character's development Path of Exile 2. In addition to XP and money, they often provide rewards that are hard to find through simple grinding (if at all). Treasures of the Utzaal leads players to a ruin filled with loot that should set players on the path to greater power.
This guide covers everything you need to know about Treasures of the Utzaal, from where to find the Molten Vault to how to beat the big bad guy hiding inside it. However, the latter will be a bit difficult, especially for PoE 2 beginner.

The Trial of Chaos in Path of Exile 2 is very challenging at lower levels, but it gets much easier once you get stronger.
Where to find the Molten Vault in PoE 2
The Treasure of Utzaal Quest tasks players with finding the Molten Vault, a supposed treasure trove according to Oswald. You can find it here inside the Drowned City in Act 3 — before you can reach it, you must first drain the water from the base of the Ziggurat camp, which you will eventually do by simply following the main story in Path of Exile 2.
Since maps are randomly generated, the location of the Molten Vault will be different for each player in separate instances. The best thing to do to find it is to hug one edge of the map and explore until you see the entrance. There will be a prompt to summon Oswald in front of the vault, so you'll know you're there when you see the little blue portal.
Inside the Molten Vault
The goal here is to clear out the vault, but in reality that's what you need to do find and kill the master blacksmith Mektula boss enemy in the Auroduct section of the Molten Vault. He's very hard to miss — look for the giant pool of molten gold with the giant enemy hitting the barrier that keeps the gold from flowing out.
The vault has tons of chests inside, making it a decent place to farm loot
PoE 2
while fighting level 40+ enemies.
Beating Mektul will be difficult if you are underpowered. No amount of patience and skillful play will win you this battle, as it's basically one big DPS check. When you fight Mektul, the molten gold will slowly creep towards you, forcing you to retreat while you fight Mektul. The auroral duct is quite long, but it doesn't stretch out forever. If you don't kill the Mektul fast enough, you'll run out of space, and the molten gold will melt you alive.
Mektul himself is a fairly straightforward boss, but he is a nightmare for melee characters. The good thing is that his attacks are slow and telegraphed, giving you enough time to dodge. Do your best to drain his health while avoiding attacks, and he'll eventually fall and drop Kamasa's Hammer for Oswald.
Lure Mektul out of the flowing lava to deal more damage. If all else fails, come back stronger with more levels and better gear.
