Time Stranger Dev reveals why it took so long for a new game to come out

Pokemon goes up, is not the only franchise involving cute little monsters that has a game set to be released later this year. That's because Digimon comes out of his sleep for Digimon Story: Time Stranger, the first new game in the series in almost a decade.

The last part is probably the most remarkable, as outside 2022's Digimon survives, the franchise has largely been dormant. It is despite the fact that anime and TCG continue to stay strong. However, according to producer Ryosuke Hara, there is a good reason for the long termination.

Digimon Story: Time Stranger will seem to have a story at the next level

As first detected by Automaton, the cause of such a long termination, according to Hara, depends on the game's story. Because while the development began after Hacker's memory, it took much longer to expand history than expected.

“We actually wanted to release it before, but what took the most time was to wipe out the game's attitude to really highlight the game's central theme: 'The band between people and Digimon,' and to build a story and world centered around Olympos XII,” shared Hara.

Note is the fact that Hara believes that the story can be appreciated by both long Digimon fans, along with those who are relatively new in the series. “It's a story that can only be told through Digimon, and I think when players are done, they will understand what makes Digimon so special,” Hara added.

With the story that took so long to shape, it gave the team the ability to create the single largest Digimon list in a game so far. Previously, it was reported that the game would have over 450 Digimon, a huge increase compared to 250 of Cyber Sleuth.

The game has been given a release date on October 3, so it will not take too long before fans and those who are curious about Digimon as a franchise will be able to see what apparently is almost a decade in creation.
