Fans are disappointed to see the driving problem resurrect on the updated console, but hope that Switch 2's hypothetical OLED model fixes the problem.
Nintendo Switch 2 Unfortunately, owners report the return of a dazzling hardware problem that previously plagued the life of the original switch console, and it is a disappointing relapse that many fans would never hoped. The first Switch console was released worldwide in 2017 and offers an innovative development in Nintendo's console portfolio following the interruption of Wii U, and Switch 2 has significant improvements compared to its predecessor.
After months of excitement and relentless rumors, Nintendo Switch 2 was finally revealed in January 2025, followed by its full specification disclosure in April. The new console has a larger screen and significantly more internal storage, along with updated graphics, social functions and magnetic control units. Nintendo Switch 2 recently broke a corporate record for the Japanese publisher, as the successor's console has expected to exceed the original switch console.

Setting change makes Wind Waker easier to play on Switch 2
The NSO version of Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker can be made easier to play on Switch 2 with a single setting adjustment.
Published on Reddit of Almost Crossing, a short video was uploaded to Switch subreddit and apparently reported one of the first cases of knit operation in Switch 2. The user noted the console was fresh from the box, and they managed to play play Mario Kart World Successfully, despite the left Joy-Con underperformance, before the stick got worse and began to push the right. Unlike Mario Kart WorldUnfortunately, operating function that helps players to win races, Switch 2's Joy-Con operation is on the right track to repeat the previous console's problems on a widespread scale.
Nintendo Switch 2's first Joy-Con operation case
Another first case of Switch 2 Joy-Con operation came from Redditor Whoatemyteeth, who also reported that their stick was loose and suffered from operation even after unpacking the object. Nintendo fans were understandably brave of the returning issue, and Redditors found that it was a very disappointing start to Switch 2's driving. In addition, some of the community remained hopeful that Nintendo would solve the problem once and for all when the assumed OLED version of Switch 2 comes out. However, the operation of the follow-up console does not come as a major shock, as a Nintendo developer previously remained close to whether Switch 2 would address the operating issue.
The Nintendo fans received a Sliver of Hope as early as 2023, when a new Switch 2 Joy-Con-Technology Patent was submitted, as many hoped that this new design would abolish the return of knitting operation. Unfortunately, this has not worked, since so many new Switch 2 owners already report widespread operating problems, even on consoles without wear. Nintendo has not yet raised the growing issue, but probably the same repair procedure will be in place.
