Hunter x Hunter has been in the succession war arc for quite some time now, with no real signs of a conclusion so far. But sooner or later the war will heat up, and when it does, accidents among the Kakin princes will happen.

Some princes in this HxH bow are definitely more likely to die than others.

Princes who have already died in the succession war

Three princes have already been eliminated

The War of Succession has developed slowly. It all started with the Urn Ceremony and fourteen princes were included in this war. So far, the only known way to end all of this is for a single prince to remain, which has resulted in a few princes losing their lives. But there can definitely be some other way to end the war as well.

The first of the fourteen princes to die was Prince Momoze, the 12th prince. She is the daughter of King Nasubi and the seventh queen Sevanti. Momoze had an interesting Nen duck pet. This musical beast would ask its target if they are free and would continue to disturb the target until they say yes. When that happened, the beast would take over the target's body and go on a killing spree. Despite this interesting ability, Momoze was suffocated to death in her own room.

The next prince to die was Prince Salé-Salé, the 8th Prince of Kakin. Salé-Salé was never a prince that fans had high expectations for because he was rather lazy and unambitious. His spirit beast from Nen wasn't bad, as it swayed people to his side. It was tied to his libido, but since he didn't leave his room often, he never got to sway many people to his side. Salé-Salé was murdered by a Nen ability known as Stand By Me.

The last prince to die so far in the story is Prince Kacho, the tenth prince and twin sister of Fugetsu, the 11th prince. Kacho is arguably the best of the princes who have perished so far, especially because of her close bond with her sister. Kacho died when she and her sister tried to escape from the Black Whales, as it is not allowed to leave the area for the War of Succession. Kacho managed to save his sister but died in the process. Despite her death, however, Kacho is not missing from the story as her Nen duck animal took her form and stays by her sister's side.

Prince Luzurus

Prince Luzuru's life is currently in grave danger. Fugetsu's condition has worsened, and some believe that Luzurus, or at least his Spirit Nen animal, is to blame. Because of that, Beast Kacho, Melody, and Kaiser all planned to eliminate Luzurus as soon as possible to save Fugetsu. The plan to eliminate him will soon take effect, making him one of the most likely princes to die. The group plans to eliminate him the same way Kacho lost his life. They plan to get him on a lifeboat where he will die due to leaving the permitted area during the succession war. They then plan to blame his death on a drug overdose, which wouldn't be unbelievable, considering how he deals with drugs.

Prince Halkenburg

Halkenburg has easily been one of the most interesting princes to follow during this succession war. He is very smart and also has an incredible Nen ability, known as “The Boy Who Shoots the Arrow: The Grimmel Dissonance”. Currently in HxHhe owns Balsamilco Might's body.

One of Halkenburg's trusted followers, Worio, has told the Kaiser that Prince Halkenburg will soon die. It is unclear what he means by this exactly, as it could simply mean that Halkenburg's original body dies, but his consciousness survives elsewhere. Halkenburg's fate still remains to be seen.

Prince Benjamin

Prince Benjamin was one of the contenders in the succession war with the best chances to win, especially with his great military influence and Nen ability. But he has recently lost his brain, Balsamilco Might, i HxH. Without Might, Benjamin is prone to making bad and hasty decisions.

This could definitely lead to his ultimate downfall. Benjamin may well be killed, or at least possessed by his younger brother, Halkenburg. He's definitely put himself in a difficult place in history from now on.

Prince Fugetsu

Prince Fugetsu is the 11th prince of the Kakin Empire, and she is also the twin sister of Kacho, one of the deceased. Fugetsu is not yet aware of her sister's passing, thanks to her Nen spirit animal taking her form. Right now, Fugetsu's condition is deteriorating. She is possessed by lower spirits and has been convinced by someone that she can use her ability endlessly every day.

The condition is: the exit door closes if Fuu-Chan enters it, and the return door closes if I enter it. – Kacho (guardian beast)

She seems to have been on some kind of drug. However, no character is quite sure what is wrong with her. Melody and Beast Kacho suspect that Luzurus is behind this, but it's just a theory for now. If they manage to kill Luzurus and Fugetsu remains sick, that means someone else is involved.

Fugetsu doesn't have much time left, which means if the culprit isn't found, she may very well walk away.

Prince Tubeppa

Prince Tubeppa is one of the older princes and is the fifth prince overall. Tubeppa is a fairly intelligent woman, but strength is not where she shines, making her a more obvious target. Tubeppa formed an alliance with Prince Woble and Kurapika, thanks to Longhi's contract. That contract states that Woble's side will not harm her and she will do the same. It puts her in a slightly better situation. The real threat to Tubeppa, however, is one of Benjamin's men.

Rihan, one of Benjamin's bodyguards, is quite a dangerous man, and one who led to the death of another, Prince Salé-Salé. It all comes down to his interesting Nen ability known as Predator. Predator was able to neutralize the spirit beast Nen of Salé-Salé, and he might be able to do the same with Prince Tubeppa. He is currently gathering more information about her and her Nen beast, and when he has enough, he can neutralize her beast and get rid of her completely. Hopefully, with the help of Kurapika, her death can be avoided.
