Following the new Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred update, Blizzard has made Aspect of Glynn's Anvil completely game-breaking for most classes. It is unclear about the overwhelming effects of this Diablo 4 The aspect is intentional, but right now it's one of the most effective ways to get Toughness in the entire game.
Blizzard was recently released Diablo 4: Lord of Hatreds 3.0.2 update, which included a long list of bug fixes for small issues players had experienced in the new expansion. A patch note has proven to be more impactful than first thought, reading, “Relieved an issue where Aspect of Glynn's Anvil was not properly increasing damage reduction per Resolve stack.” Before this, Aspect's main effect, which increases maximum Resolve by 2 and adds between 3-4% Damage Reduction per stack of Resolve, did not work. Now, with the problem solved, it has become a must-have aspect for every qualified class.

Diablo 4 players get kicked from Co-Op for playing this class
Diablo 4 players have some major complaints with a class, going so far as to kick players out of co-op parties for playing it.
Diablo 4's Aspect of Glynn's Anvil is fully OP after new 3.0.2 update
Players have quickly noticed that the working version of Aspect of Glynn's Anvil is ridiculously overpowered in Diablo 4 Patch 3.0.2. A Reddit thread started by user Long_Honey shared that their build, which stacks to max Resolve, sees their Toughness during combat reach as high as 52 million. Another player in the thread shared a screenshot showing their Toughness over 101 million, making them nearly impossible to kill, even at high level Diablo 4 Pit tiers. The difference is huge, with one user explaining that before they learned the aspect was broken, Belial on Torment 12 would one-shot them, while now they don't even need to dodge during the fight.
The only real caveat is that Aspect of Glynn's Anvil is not available to everyone Diablo 4 class. Eligible classes are as follows:
-
Barbarian
-
Druid
-
Necromancer
-
Paladin
-
Villain
-
Spiritborn
This means that those playing as either a Sorcerer or the new Warlock cannot use this game-breaking aspect. But for the classes that can, it feels like a must right now. Using it allows players to focus their damage output on other items, with Aspect of Glynn's Anvil doing all the heavy lifting in terms of defense. Classes like Spiritborn and Rogue will likely benefit the most from this overwhelmed Diablo 4 Aspect, given that they are naturally considered among the game's squishier classes.
Is overwhelmed Diablo 4 aspect of Glynn's anvil intentional?
The question now is whether Blizzard intended for Aspect of Glynn's Anvil to be so overpowered after Patch 3.0.2. Obviously, this is not a buff to the aspect; rather, it's simply getting it to work at all. However, it's possible that Blizzard, without the aspect working in the first place, didn't realize how powerful it would be when players started building around it, which for obvious reasons they hadn't done before. If it happens that the aspect's current power is unintentional, players can probably expect Blizzard to nerf it somewhat in the future Diablo 4 update.

Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred and Season 13 is well underway, and players are generally responding well to the changes Blizzard has made to the game. The expansion's endgame additions (largely in the form of war plans) have been popular with fans, and the story itself was a hit. While players are still making their voices heard for potential Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred changes, Blizzard has been quick to address complaints in the many early expansion patches.
