A new teaser trailer posted on VIZ Media's official YouTube channel revealed that it was critically acclaimed Vagabond manga, created by Takehiko Inoue from Slam Dunk fame, will be reprinted. The first volume of Vagabond: Definitive Edition released on January 21, 2025.

The format for this release will be the same as the 3-in-1 sets that most long-running manga are published in, except for the standard “tankōbon” format. It is also possible to pre-order from “wherever books are sold”. The Vagabond: Definitive Edition teaser trailer can be seen below.

Takehiko Inoue Vagabond is described as an epic martial arts manga that is a fictional account of the journey of the real-life swordsman Shinmen Takezō, better known as the legendary Musashi Miyamoto. The series is based on Eiji Yoshikawa's 1935 novel, Musashiand has been serialized in Kodansha's seinen manga magazine, Morning, since September 1998. It has been collected in 37 volumes as of July 2014, with VIZ Media publishing the manga in English.

Vagabond has been on indefinite hiatus since May 2015, but having sold 82 million copies, it is one of the best-selling manga of all time, and in 2000 won the 24th Kodansha Manga Award for the general category as well as the Grand Prix of the sixth Osamu Tezuka Culture Prize in 2002, while the American print of the series was nominated for the Will Eisner Award in 2003 in the category of best writer/artist.
