Honkai: Star Rail has revealed the exact release date and time of the upcoming update 3.0 special program. Before each new update, HoYoverse hosts a livestream event that reveals most of the content that will be included in the next version of Honkai: Star Rail.

Honkais social media accounts have previously confirmed that the new update will add two new characters, both of which are expected to have a five-star rarity. The two new characters are The Herta, who is rumored to arrive in the first part of the update, and Aglaea, whose banner should be released in the second banner cycle.

A new Honkai: Star Rail leak reveals that the game will receive a significant update that will improve the FPS options for some players.

A new post on Honkai: Star Rails official X account has revealed more information about the upcoming Special Program event, including its name and release date. According to the announcement, players can expect the special program for Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.0 will be released on January 1 at 19:30 (UTC+8). The new update will be called Paean of Era Nova, which can be translated as “Praise for the New Era”, indicating that the game may undergo significant changes in the upcoming update. This lends more credence to some earlier rumors suggesting that Honkai: Star Rail limited banners will see significant changes.

According to several credible leakers, Honkai: Star Rail banners will increase the number of limited characters in an update from 4 to 8, with 4 for each banner phase. The leaks suggest that The Herta will be joined by Feixiao, Jade and Lingsha on the first banner, while the second part of the update will feature Aglaea, Robin, Boothill and Silverwolf.
