Dragon Ball: Kicking! Zero has the largest roster of anyone Dragon Ball game and one of the most extensive lineups in fighting game history. Although some key characters are missing at launch, almost every major fighter across the franchise is included, from the original Dragon Ball right up to Dragon Ball Super. Ddespite such a huge roster, most players naturally only gravitate to the heavy hitters, like Beerus, Ultra Instinct Goku or SSJ4 Gogeta, as soon as they start the game.

Dragon Ball: Kicking! Zero – 7 Best Ability items

When the battles get too intense, Ability Items in Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero can turn the tide of battle by providing a host of potent buffs.

As a result, the weaker characters tend to be overlooked. While these characters may lack power, their move sets and animations were created with equal care. Plus, they can make for some very entertaining battles. For confident players looking for a challenge, these low-level fighters can be really fun to try out — especially in the online DP battles.

5 Chiaotzu

Undoubtedly The Weakest Z Fighter

Despite his heroic sacrifice during the Saiyan Saga, where he self-destructed in a desperate attempt to stop Nappa, Chiaotzu never really got the love he deserves in anime or manga. While most of his other Z Fighters have gone through countless powerups, Chiaotzu has largely remained the same.

Unfortunately, this lack of growth carries over to Sparkling! Zerowhere he ranks among the weakest characters in the game. While he has some decent special moves, including one that can paralyze his opponent, his overall damage output is nothing to write home about. To make matters worse, his Ultimate Attack is self-destructive, causing him to die after using it.

4 Master Roshi

A teacher far surpassed by his students

Fans of Dragon Ball Z and Super who have not seen the original Dragon Ball comics may not realize how crucial a character is Master Roshi is. As Goku and Krillin's first real martial arts teacher, he taught them important techniques, including the iconic Kamehameha. However, after his students grew up and became immensely powerful, Roshi stepped back to a more peaceful life at Kame House.

Dragon Ball: Kicking! Zero – 6 moves you need to master

The battle in Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero is not too challenging, there are still some important moves that every player must master.

IN Sparkling! ZeroMaster Roshi's weak moveset and damage reflect this. While he has some decent defensive abilities, his attacks don't hit hard at all. Worst of all, he can't fly, which puts him at a significant disadvantage against most of the game's roster. That said, he does have the ability to transform into his Max Power form, but the damage boost that gives is still not enough to make him much of a threat in battle.

3 Videl

Exceptional for a human, but still not strong enough

For a human, Videl is undeniably an exceptional fighter i Dragon Ball. Despite being the daughter of Mr. Satan, she chose to receive most of her training from Gohan, who eventually became her husband. Under his guidance, she learned to control her Ki and even mastered the ability to fly. But no matter how talented she is, her power level still pales in comparison to almost every other character on the show, especially non-humans.

IN Sparkling! ZeroVidel is much stronger than her father, but that's not really saying much. She has a small health bar and deals minimal damage. Despite her surprisingly useful moveset, including an ability that allows her to instantly go into Sparking! mode, she just lacks the raw power to make her a formidable fighter relative to the other characters in the game.

2 Saibaman

The most explosive fighter, but not in a good way

A screenshot of Saibaman from Sparking Zero

While The Saiban wouldn't pose any real threat to the Z Fighters now, these little green guys were terrifying back in the Saiyan Saga, even managing to take down Yamcha in one of the most iconic moments of Dragon Ball history. Despite their menacing past, in Sparkling! ZeroSaibaman is more of a novelty rather than a serious fighter.

Dragon Ball: Kicking! Zero – 7 of the strongest ultimate blast attacks

When Dragon Ball characters face each other in this fighting game, these Ultimate Blast Attacks can steal the match.

The only upside to this character is his speed; he is more than fast enough to give inexperienced players a hard time dodging attacks. He also comes with a paralyze ability, but it's very hard to land. The worst aspect of this character is easily his Ultimate Attack, which mirrors the anime by being self-destructive. What's kind of humorous about this move is that if the opponent has a lot of health, it won't even be strong enough to KO them, making it more of a gimmick than a viable strategy in basically anything but DP Battles.

1 Mr. Satan

The least powerful, but funnest character

To absolutely no one's surprise, the weakest character in the Sparkling! Zero is none other than Mr. Satan. His weak power makes perfect sense, as he is canonically one of the least powerful characters in the series. But many forget that for a human he is actually a very capable fighter, but when universe-destroying characters are put around him, he ends up looking (and acting) like a douchebag.

IN Sparkling! Zero, Mr. Satan can't fly, can't teleport, barely does any damage with his attacks, and is generally as weak as a character can be. His only saving grace is his Ultimate Attack, where Majin Buu makes a surprise entrance and makes a mess of him. Even then, it does pitiful damage compared to the other Ultimates in the game. If players are looking for a real challenge in battle, Mr. Satan definitely the character they will want to choose.
