Hi-Rez Studios is rolling out a new patch for Hit 2 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S versions of the game. After being announced in January 2024, Hit 2 is in a closed Alpha phase where fans can sign up for early access to the third-person MOBA game before its full release.
Follows from Beatplayers take the form of various gods from a number of mythologies, including Anubis, Odin, and Zeus. Players then take their gods into a 5v5 arena where they can take on Titans who want to destroy all Pantheons. Hit 2 is built in Unreal Engine 5 and since its launch in its alpha test in the spring of 2024, Hi-Rez Studios has constantly improved and updated the game based on player feedback.

Smite 2: Every Role, Explained
Know the role you play in helping your team achieve mutual victory.
The latest update for Hit 2 began rolling out on November 13 and includes several fixes across all platforms. Key fixes center around the various gods, including Izanami's Shadow and Radiant stealth material not spawning properly and Khepri Abduct only playing a voice line. The external line FX for Gingersnap Baron Samedi Ult has also been fixed, with home screen music now added to the PS5 version.
These hotfixes come a few days after Hi-Rez Studios released a major patch for Hit 2 on November 11. These changes include balances for each of the gods, a new UI autobuild, and changes to the God page. The page will now show which gods will be added Hit 2 and when they will be available.
Those waiting to experience the full experience will be disappointed to note that progress from Beat will not transfer to Hit 2 due to the hours of labor required to rebuild over 1,600 skins, items and equipment in Unreal Engine 5. Even with the news that progress will not continue, players will no doubt be pleased with the constant updates to Forging 2 as Hi-Rez Studios continues to develop the game during the Alpha phase.
It is not clear when Hit 2 will exit its Alpha phase, but it's expected that the MOBA will be a free-to-play title when it's fully released on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. It was confirmed Hit 2 would skip the Nintendo Switch due to concerns about the aging hardware affecting the player experience. While that may be disappointing to some, Hi-Rez Studios isn't ruling out bringing the MOBA to the Switch's successor should it be appropriate.
