The wait for Grand Theft Auto 6 will hopefully be completed in November. Rockstar's hit crime series has maintained its presence as one of the biggest franchises in the gaming industry, but Grand Theft Auto 6 feels like a completely different beast. The anticipation has eager gamers scanning and analyzing every frame of the two released trailers, and some have even used astrology to theorize when Trailer 3 will arrive.
It's been a wild year-long journey, and the next update is hopefully just around the corner. Leaks and GTA 6 go together like peanut butter and jelly at this point, but the constant influx of these claims and rumors hasn't stopped them from igniting extra doses of hype. A recent leak even claims that the new GTA 6 trailer may arrive on May 26, but there have been many predictions in the past that have turned out to be false. Regardless of when the trailer hits the internet, there will hopefully be more insight into protagonist Jason Duval. He seems like a compelling character, but something just doesn't feel right.

It's a good thing Grand Theft Auto 6 wasn't released in May
With May now in full swing, it has become abundantly clear that Rockstar Games was right to move Grand Theft Auto 6's release date to November.
Jason Duval's Nice Guy Persona feels almost too good to be true in GTA 6's Cutthroat Crime World
If the trailers have made anything clear, it's that the story revolves around GTA 6 The main characters Jason and Lucia will be filled with crime, action, romance and a lot of drama. Both protagonists are shrouded in mystery at the moment, but Rockstar has revealed a little about each of them on the company's official website. Lucia's motives are clearer, but Jason's background has an extra edge of mystery that feels a little suspicious.
Jason grew up around grifters and villains. After a stint in the army to try to shake off his troubled teenage years, he found himself in the Keys doing what he does best: working for local drug runners. It might be time to try something new.
Meeting Lucia could be the best or worst thing that ever happened to him. Jason knows how he wants it to be, but right now it's hard to say.

The little snippet explaining his past is much shorter than Rockstar's insight into Lucia on the website. So little information seems intentional. It just might be GTA 6 theory paranoia creeps in, but there's already been plenty of speculation about whether or not Jason is actually who he says he is.
GTA 6's Undercover Cop Theory
This has been one of the oldest theories about GTA 6s story. Many players believe that Jason may actually be a police officer in disguise. His work for local drug runners may turn out to be undercover. Also, many military veterans end up transitioning into the police force after they leave the service, so this theory is definitely not that far-fetched. There are plenty of fitting pieces, but there's no way to know for sure until the game is actually here.
If GTA 6The Jason cop theory turns out to be true, but that would definitely be a trademark for Rockstar. The developer has shown with its previous games that Red Dead Redemption 2 and GTA San Andreas that their team is good at telling stories of betrayal. A scenario where Jason gets too close to Lucia and has to break her heart by revealing his true identity sounds like a pretty reasonable outcome for the game's main story.
Even though he's not a cop, Jason might be hiding a dark secret
It is not impossible for GTA protagonists to be good guys in a world of crime. Jason's “chill guy next door” vibe feels a bit more like a false persona than an actual reflection of his character. Rockstar's official background has already confirmed that he joined the army to try to escape his “troubled teenagers”. After that he moved to Leonida Keys. Moving to such a remote area GTA 6s map it sounds like he is trying to escape from something or someone. Of course, that “someone” could end up being himself, but then it raises questions about what he's done in the past that warrants such a drastic change of scenery.
There is a good possibility that Jason is trying to fight a darker personality hiding within him. A life defined by a troubled past, the potential for him to have PTSD from his time in the army, and being surrounded by drug runners is already a risky combination. Throwing in Lucia's ambition and will to succeed by any means necessary while bringing Jason along practically feels like setting a bomb. The big mystery is what will be the situation that finally causes it to explode. Rockstar has not confirmed that this will actually be part of Jason's story in GTA 6but the silence surrounding the game means anything is possible right now.
The fates of Jason and Lucia are just a few of GTA 6's many mysteries
Since the duo is inspired by Bonnie and Clyde, it could mean that Jason and Lucia will have unfortunate results. Even if the two don't go down together in a blaze like the real-life outlaws did, it feels like the duo is headed for tragedy. Whether Jason or Lucia betray each other or if one of the main characters dies or is arrested, GTA 6 has the chance to be one of the franchise's most compelling stories to date. Many hope for a mixture of GTA 5s over-the-top action mixed with Red Dead Redemption 2s narration. If so, Jason and Lucia enter GTA 6 are bound to tug at the heartstrings.
Right now, Rockstar is keeping quiet about when the next one will be GTA 6 update coming. The internet rumor mill will claim many things over the next few months, so it's important to keep expectations in check. Leaks hold nothing concrete. All that is known is that all will be revealed on November 19. That is, as long as there is no further delay.
