McDonald's and Pokemon are teaming up once again in 2024, bringing a number of Pokemon TCG cards to stores.
Over on Reddit, Pokemon TCG fan Cpt_JimBob_Sherwood shared his new reward with other players and explained how it happened. Apparently Cpt_JimBob_Sherwood walked into a gas station and saw a display with Pokémon cards for sale from the latest expansion of Surging Sparks. With about 20 packs on display, Cpt_JimBob_Sherwood had the idea to simply ask the store clerk if they could take the store display if they bought all the card packs shown on it. The store clerk agreed, and the result can be seen in the Reddit post's photo, with the store display hidden in the back seat of the fan's car.

Some Pokemon TCG Collectors who responded have been a little jealous and hadn't thought to ask for something like this before. While Cpt_JimBob_Sherwood unfortunately did not find the Special Illustration Rare Pikachu card in the many packs included in the display that they were looking for. That particular card has been at the top of many fans' wish lists, and buying it solo has been quite expensive for some collectors. While it's a shame they didn't get exactly what they wanted, for some what Cpt_JimBob_Sherwood got away with is still pretty rare and cool.
