In a statement shared on Twitter, Palworld's community manager has told haters they can “move on”.
2024 has been a rollercoaster for Pocketpair, the team behind the breakout hit Palworld. When the game debuted in January, it immediately broke all sorts of records on its way to becoming one of Steam's most played games ever.
Then things took a turn for the worse when Nintendo announced they were suing the game's creators for patent infringement. Still, that didn't stop the team from finally releasing the game on PlayStation 5, or fans from rallying around the multiplayer title.
That said, throughout this period there has been a wave of “anti-Palworld” hate, with much of it directed at the people behind the game. So much so that the game's community manager has issued his own statement, effectively telling the haters to get a life.

How is Palworld different from other clones?
If Nintendo succeeds, it will set a dangerous precedent for the future of the gaming industry.
Please move on if you hate us so much
Taking to Twitter, Bucky, the Global Community Manager for Pocketpair and Palworld, shared his own thoughts on the massive amount of hate and negativity being flown their way. Part of their statement reads as follows:
“If you're hyping a building full of people losing their jobs, that's not our problem, that's your problem. This kind of hyper-emotional imagery is rampant in the gaming scene these days, but the Palworld ones are particularly silly. .
“If you hate Palworld, and I mean if you really hate Palworld, then do yourself a favor and unfollow us on Twitter, hide the game on Steam and stop thinking about it. Who wants to spend time and energy on things they don't do. as?
“Your hate only serves to upset yourself and feed the grifters their views. Move on.”
Other creators have also taken a stand before
Bucky's sentiment isn't the first time someone involved in gaming has taken a stand against negative vitriol. Earlier this year, XDefiant executive producer Mark Rubin also had enough of those taking aim at Ubisoft's multiplayer shooter project.
In his own statement on Twitter, Rubin defended the title, while telling detractors they can “move on” if they feel so strongly about the game. In other words, when pushed to their limit, creators will speak up. It shouldn't have to come to that, but such is the gaming discourse in 2024.
