Juno has already proven to be a dominant hero within herself Overwatch 2s meta. Overwatch 2 has an awkward relationship with hero balancing, where it's not uncommon for heroes to either be too broken or never really find their place in the game, although it seems like Juno has settled comfortably into the support lineup despite being weaker than she was in her trial period.

Juno, Overwatch 2s 41st hero, joined the game on August 20 with the start of Season 12. Formerly known as the Space Ranger, Juno's debut was highly anticipated by players who waited months for her to become playable. However, initial impressions during her trial period were divisive, and some in the community felt that she was overpowered. But even after recent updates made her a little less powerful, the support finds herself in an unexpected position in Blizzard's game.

Juno is Overwatch 2s most played hero at the moment. According to information from Overbuff, among PC Competitive players in the Platinum division, where a large part of the players are located, Juno has a pick rate of 8.79% and a win rate of 53.12%, which accumulates significant numbers in September. In most ranks, Juno remains at the top of the list, beating popular names like Tracer and D.Va, and favorite supports like Kiriko and Mercy. The only exceptions are Bronze and Grandmaster, where Juno is second only to Ana.

Juno rises to become Overwatch 2's most played hero

When watching Overwatch 2 console players on Platinum this month, Juno maintains its newfound popularity with a pick rate of 8.21% and a win rate of 54.45%. From Gold to Champion, Juno remains at the top of the list, once again leaving D.Va, Mercy and other names like Moira and Sombra in the dust. The only exceptions are Bronze and Silver, where Moira is the most played hero and Juno is third, and Grand Master, where D.Va is the hottest choice right now.

Juno received quality of life improvements when she was added Overwatch 2but one of the tweaks included reducing her health from 250 to 225. With the August 23rd update, the support got a little more love, with Mediblaster's damage buffed from 7 to 8, and Glide Boost's cooldown reduced from 8 to 6 seconds. In the patch released by Overwatch 2 on September 3rd came more tweaks for the Martian, changing the Mediblaster's rate of fire to 15.5 while reducing damage to 7.5 and healing to 6.5. Despite all the changes, Juno has experienced an unexpected surge in popularity, and it will be interesting to see if she can keep up the momentum throughout Season 12 and beyond.
