The last tale of One Piece kicked off with the Egghead arc, and since then Eiichiro Oda, the writer of the series, hasn't taken his foot off the gas for even a single chapter. Thanks to the Elbaf arc, fans have found out a lot of exciting new details about One Piece the world, and there is currently a huge retrospective going on. Oda recently concluded the events of the God Valley Incidentand the story now instead focuses on other characters, including Shanks.
After 15 years, Oda finally shows Haki's true power in one piece

Shanks is currently a Yonko in One Pieceand he is known to be one of the strongest characters. In the ongoing flashback, Shanks is definitely strong, but he has a great rival, and that is his twin brother, Shamrock Figarland. Although fans weren't sure how Shamrock would rank compared to Shanks, it has now been revealed that the two are equally gifted. Shanks probably still has an edge though, something that could be shown if the two ever cross swords in the Final Saga.
Shamrock is revealed to be on Shank's level
Shanks is known by fans to be one of the strongest characters ever in One Piece. After all, Shanks is a Yonko, and the only one still left from the previous generation. Shanks is a talented swordsman, and although he has no Devil Fruit, he has the best Haki in One Piece at the moment.
In that sense, not many characters come close to Shanks, let alone compete with him. As said, a character Oda recently revealed to be on his level is a member of his own family, and it is his twin brother, Figarland Shamrock.
One Piece: Oda already revealed who is stronger between Shanks and Mihawk
Shanks and Mihawk are both strong, but one is on top in One Piece.
Shanks and Shamrock were separated at birth after the events of God Valley, and both developed in their own ways. Shanks grew up with Roger Pirates, while Shamrock was raised by the celestial dragons of Marijoa. Despite that, both still have the same talentwhich was clarified in One Piece chapter 1167. The two brothers are incredibly skilledwhich is something expected of twins.
Shanks may be the stronger of the two
While Shanks and Shamrock are on the same levelit doesn't mean they are equally strong. Of the two, Shanks probably still has an edge over his brother.

After all, Haki is a demonstration of someone's willpower. Shamrock just can't outdo Shanks in that regard. They may be equal in skills or talent, but Haki-wise, Shanks would still be the stronger of the two.
Shanks vs Shamrock would be an incredible fight to witness
Eiichiro Oda's revelation that Shanks has a twin brother was definitely a shock to many fans, and something not many expected to see in the Final Saga. With Shamrock's introduction, one wonders if the twin trope would come into play here. Shanks and Shamrock are on opposite ends and a battle between them would make an incredible battle in the final saga. Shanks and Shamrock are very similar, but they also have some critical differences that would make for a very interesting clash.

If Oda lets Shanks confront Shamrock, he can prove once and for all why Yonko is the stronger of the two. Also, if Shanks is also confirmed to have a Devil Fruit sword, fans can see a clash between Gryphon and Cerberusand this would be the first time something like this has taken place in One Piece.
Either way, both Shanks and Shamrock will play a significant role in the Final Saga of One Piece. It would definitely be interesting to see how Oda weaves them into the story in the Elbaf arc and beyond. In addition, fans also want to see how Garling Figarland fits into all of this. Shanks returned to Marijoa in this flashback, so seeing his dynamic with his brother and father would be a great treat.
