Xenoblade Chronicles X getting a Switch port has some making Wii U wish lists.

One of the more popular Wii U games Switch owners are still waiting for is Star Fox Zero with Yoshi's Woolly World another top pick.

The obvious choices are Zelda's Twilight Princess and The Windwaker with Switch ports both of which have been rumored for years.
Nintendo may still be shy when it comes to revealing anything, anything about the Switch's successor, but it's not like the studio has ignored us completely. As it continues to get its ducks in a row ready for its Switch 2 reveal, it has kept people happy with various other smaller announcements. This week, one of the smaller announcements was actually quite a big one as Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition was revealed.
The Switch version of the Wii U game will be more than just a port. The definitive edition of Xenoblade Chronicles X will feature remastered graphics and additional content. It continues Nintendo's trend throughout the Switch's run of reviving great Wii U games that hardly anyone played due to the console's poor sales. It joins the likes of Super Mario 3D World, Pikmin 3 and Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, but there are still a few games stuck on the Wii U that Switch owners are hoping will get the port treatment.

Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition pre-order guide – price, release date and version differences
Xenoblade Chronicles X is finally coming to Switch, and pre-orders are already open.
AndreSegers started the conversation shortly after the Xenoblade reveal by sharing the four Wii U games they're still waiting for on Switch. Included in their quartet are the two obvious Legend Of Zelda, The Wind Waker and Twilight Princess. Surprising you still can't play these games on Switch. AndreSegers would also like to see Nintendo Land and Yoshi's Woolly World find their way to the Nintendo Switch before it's too late.
Not all of the Wii U's best games have been ported to the Switch yet
However, Xenoblade Chronicles X is one of the big ones
Judging by the responses to the tweet above, Woolly World is a popular choice. Not only because it's a great and unique platformer, but also because some are hoping that if Yoshi's yarn-based adventure ever does release on Switch, it will be accompanied by a Poochy amiibo expression. The Wii U's Star Fox Zero is another popular choice, but between the work required to make the game suitable for the Switch and the lack of love Star Fox has been shown in the current Nintendo generation, if any game there will be left on Wii U forever, that's it.
Some have called out older installments in series that have effectively been replaced by sequels on the Switch that will likely remain on the older console for that very reason. The first Super Mario Maker was a Wii U exclusive but since there's a Switch sequel that has everything the original had plus more, there's really no reason to port the original. The same goes for Splatoon. Splatoon 2 and Splatoon 3 have been released on Switch since then so again, there's no reason for Nintendo to go back to the Wii U and save the original.
