Games that began development early in this generation are now moving forward. This means that the coming years will bring the best-looking titles of the generation – including, of course, GTA 6 — surpasses anything we've seen so far. But there is more to look forward to. Below are the biggest games with impressive graphics that will impress in early 2026.

Capcom has been on a roll with the latest Resident Evil releases, striking a perfect balance between familiarity and innovation while exploring new themes and pushing the franchise into bold new territory. Technically speaking, Resident Evil 7: Biohazard and Resident Evil Village have both been real parties, with the RE Engine (short for “REach”, not Resident Evil) deliver cinematic visuals that create a chillingly realistic sense of immersion in their virtual worlds.

Crimson Desert
Release date: March 19, 2026
When Crimson Desert debuted in its first trailers over four years ago, it looked simply incredible. As the years went by, the game became even more ambitious, consistently blowing players' minds with each new showcase. Pure scale is Crimson Desert's secret weapon, with an open world ready to be breathtakingly large and richly detailed, offering a wide range of activities for all tastes.
From what the developers have shown so far, Crimson Deserts world is not only massive and beautiful, but also incredibly dense and interactive. Players can destroy towers and fortresses, ride dragons to unleash chaos from the skies, and dive into massive battles with entire armies – a rare feat, especially on such an epic scale and with such stunning technical execution. The game's BlackSpace Engine has evolved dramatically over the years to support cutting-edge advancements, leaving only one question: how will it handle everything the team has packed in while still running smoothly?

As the next big PS5 exclusive, Saros is expected to launch in a flawless technical state while building on the fantastic gameplay formula established by Housemarque. A direct sequel to Return ideas, Saros promises to deepen the action-rogue-like gameplay while pushing the limits of technology.
Return was among the first PS5 first-party titles and launched nearly five years later, Saros is poised to deliver significant improvements across the board, taking full advantage of the PS5's capabilities and creatively utilizing the DualSense controller's unique capabilities. Although players may struggle to notice every subtle visual detail amidst the game's relentless, dynamic action, fueled by spectacular abilities, distinctive weapons, and challenging enemies that unleash waves of chaos in Hell.
007 First light
Release date: March 27, 2026
007 First light described as IO Interactive's most ambitious and most expensive game ever — the perfect showcase for the latest iteration of the studio's proprietary Glacier Next engine. As Unreal Engine 5 becomes increasingly common for triple-A development, creating blockbuster titles with proprietary technology looms as something of a flexibility, especially when that technology is as impressive as the one powering the latest Hitman game.
From the looks of it, 007 First light lives up to its prestige on a technical level, delivering a multitude of expansive, incredibly detailed exploratory locations, both indoor and outdoor, alongside adrenaline-fuelled chases, explosive action full of destruction, believable characters and unmistakable cinematic style. The latest gameplay did raise some concerns about potential technical issues, but let's not forget that it was an early build, and there's still plenty of time for the developers to polish their ambitious creation.
Grand Theft Auto 6
Release date: May 26, 2026
There are countless reasons to be excited about Grand Theft Auto 6but its technical prowess is arguably near the top, captivating even those who have never been fans of the series. Likely one of the most expensive entertainment products ever made, GTA 6 is set to deliver unprecedented levels of realism and fidelity in a massive open world. The glimpses shown in the first trailers were so amazing that many question whether the final game can match that vision – especially with the sheer number of unique NPCs that populate its world.
However, Rockstar has left no room for doubt and has consistently over-delivered with titles that often look even more impressive at launch than in early previews. With the enormous resources and talent poured into this monumental production, it's entirely possible GTA 6 will set a visual and technical bar so high that it will remain unmatched for many years, at least until next-gen platforms arrive.
