The Fallout community is huge, but within it, Fallout: New Vegas fans are especially devoted. More than 14 years after its release, it has maintained a dedicated following – so much so that many fans hold a meeting every year, at the actual place where the game's story begins.
This weekend, New Vegas fans once again took to Goodsprings, Nevada, and interacted as various characters and factions from the game. Someone from the Fallout team is also in attendance, documenting the event and all the impressive costumes and props fans have brought.
Fallout fans take to Goodsprings to celebrate New Vegas
As we can see from the photos from the event, there are some really deep cuts here. We have a think tank from DLC Old World Blues, Vulpes Inculta of the Legion, nightkin leader Tabitha and companion Arcade Gannon.
Many also dressed up as members of New Vegas' warring factions: the NCR and Caesar's Legion – re-enacting their conflict.
There are tons of other photos and videos from the event being shared around, showing how creative many attendees got with their costumes. I also see at least one person as the best character in the game, Joshua Graham, so I'm happy.
This year's New Vegas hit comes after the huge success of the Fallout show. The second season takes us to New Vegas. But years after the events of the game, things are looking pretty tough. We'll have to wait and see if Prime Video's take on the series can do the setting justice.

Fallout: New Vegas
Welcome to Vegas. New Vegas.
It's the kind of town where you dig your own grave before you get shot in the head and left for dead… and that's before things get really ugly. It is a city of dreamers and desperadoes torn apart by warring factions vying for complete control of this desert oasis. It's a place where the right kind of person with the right kind of weapon can really make a name for themselves and make more than an enemy or two along the way.
As you battle your way through the heat-blasted Mojave Wasteland, the colossal Hoover Dam, and the neon-drenched Vegas Strip, you'll be introduced to a colorful cast of characters, power-hungry factions, special weapons, mutant creatures, and more. Choose a side in the coming war or declare “winner takes all” and crown yourself king of New Vegas in this sequel to the 2008 video game, Fallout 3.
Enjoy your stay.
