Nintendo announces Splatoon Raiders For Switch 2, a spinoff title that sees the return of the deep average trio in a new investigative area. Nintendo has a chance to bring some new Swagger to its Splatoon series in the next entry, as there are a few features that can spice up things.

As part of an update on the Nintendo Today app revealed the company Splatoon RaidersA new spinoff game within the franchise coming to Switch 2. The debut trailer shows off Deep Cut, a trio of characters originally introduced in Splatoon 3, When traveling to a new place called Spirhalite Islands, which chases a new rumor and eventually be stranded after a crash landing. Unfortunately, Nintendo did not share too much else in terms of games or even a potential launch window.

Splatoon Raiders comes to Nintendo Switch 2

While details remain narrow, Nintendo has confirmed that players will take the role of a mechanic with a mysterious background. Recently added images of the character also show what seems to be homemade tools, including a weapon that seems to use ordinary objects such as a bottle and rope, along with a provisional backpack and even a wandering robot. Players will have a base of operations in a floating ship and Nintendo promises that the island will have a unique atmosphere. Interestingly the game seems to be strongly inspired by Splatoon 3 Single player campaign, without mentioning a multiplayer page yet.

Even with a new game message Nintendo does not forget Splatoon 3 either. Alongside Splatoon Raiders Reveal, the company also confirmed a large new update coming on June 12. Even after announcing an end to regular updates for Splatoon 3Nintendo uses version 10 to add lots of new content and quality of life improvements. In fact, Splatoon 3 will have improved images and image speeds on Switch 2, with crossplay that ensures that players on either console can continue to fight against each other.
