Bandai Namco has shared new details about Bleach Mirrors Highincluding information on its combat system, character customization, and three original Soul Reapers. The publisher's comprehensive overview may be the last major update on what's to come Whiten the game before its beta starts later in the summer of 2026.
Announced at the end of December 2025, Bleach Mirrors High is a free character action gacha game based on the Shonen manga and anime series of the same name. It will mark the second video game adaptation of the hit series published by Bandai Namco in the 2020s, following the character-heavy Bleach: Rebirth of Souls . While the 2025 title adapted established manga story arcs, Reflects high follows a customizable Soul Reaper through an original story set after the Millennium Blood War.
Bleach Mirrors High confirms card combat with three characters and customizable Zanpakuto
The latest look at Bleach Mirrors High came on July 18, when Bandai Namco released a new trailer for the upcoming title. Labeled as an official “overview,” the 105-second video and its accompanying announcement revealed new details about the next Whiten video game, including various tidbits about its combat mechanics and character customization system. The trailer also introduced three Whiten Soul Reapers that will be playable in the new game: Naru Jurinna, voiced by Fuka Izumi; Giro Hando, voiced by Shogo Batori; and Maiko Tokishima, voiced by Yu Sasahara. Series creator Tite Kubo personally designed all three characters.
Fighting in Reflects high features three teams of characters whose attacks depend on the Action Cards selected for each encounter. Individual fighters can unleash animated Mortal Blows, while an entire squad can combine their abilities to perform a Soul Drive attack. Chain actions can also trigger link attacks. Although three character lineups should feel familiar to anyone who played Bleach: Brave Souls, Reflects high excels through card-based draw selection and coordinated team techniques. These systems promise to give the upcoming title more tactical depth, which could translate to greater PvP potential. Of course, the overall quality of competitive play will also depend on matchmaking, rankings, and seasonal rewards, which Bandai Namco has yet to detail.
The customization system covers both the main character and their weapons. Players can modify the Soul Reaper's hair, face, body, eyes, color scheme, and name. Zanpakuto sword customizations supported include the blade, guard, handle, decorations, visual effects, and fighting style. The official website currently lists familiar characters such as Ichigo Kurosaki, Rukia Kuchiki, Renji Abarai, Kisuke Urahara, Byakuya Kuchiki, and Toshiro Hitsugaya along with the game's original cast. In addition to the trio in the latest trailer, Bleach Mirrors High introduces several other original characters, including Shirin Migishima and Shirane Sanari. They appear alongside established characters such as Ichigo, Rukia and Renji. Kubo has previously stated that the original story of the game is connected to the original Whiten manga, albeit without going into detail. The official canon status of Reflects high has not yet been confirmed.
