New night, challenges and rewards

Updated October 8, 2024: Another week has come Destiny 2which means missions, challenges and rewards have been restored. After much waiting, the next episode of Destiny 2 has finally arrived. As players have seen, Revenant adds a whole new story to continue with the mock leader Fikrul resurrected after receiving an echo. With this new power, Fikrul raises an undead mockery army at the expense of Elkisni, so the player teams up with Mithrax and Eido again to put an end to this new threat.

Alongside the new story content, Episode: Revenant also sees many changes coming to the game. As expected, Bungie is tweaking the game sandbox with some major tweaks Destiny 2 exotic weapons, buffing roaming supers, as well as finally letting Titan players really embrace that tank role with some interesting buffs. The popular Onslaught mode is also seeing some new content, which should keep players jumping back into that playlist.

As expected, the Destiny 2 the weekly reset is also here, bringing the usual updated content, activities and rewards for players to hunt for the next week. For a full look at all the new content available for the week of October 8, including Nightfalls, Crucible modes and challenges, here's everything players need to know.

Weekly Nightfall and Modifiers

Nightfall Strike: The Lightblade

Advanced Modifiers:

• Master: Unstoppable and Barrier
• Hero Modifier: Extra shields. Solar and Arc.
• Galvanized: Combatants have more health and are harder to stun.
• Overcharge: Grenade Launchers and Kinetic Weapons when the player's subclass matches an active Surge element.
• Threat: Arc
• Surge: Arc and Stasis

Expert Modifier:

• All previous modifiers.
• Equipment locked: It is not possible to change equipment once the mission has started.
• Randomized Banes: Combatants are granted random Banes.

Master Modifier:

• All previous modifiers.
• Forge: When defeated, combatants can drop explosives disguised as familiar objects.
• Master Modifiers: Locked Loadout, Extra Champions and Extra Shields.

Episode: Revenant Challenges

Week 1

Exotic mission rotation

Bungie brought back various exotic missions for players to run through to earn new rewards, gear, as well as craftable versions of exotic weapons. Like the Raid and Dungeon rotator, this one changes weekly.

Raid and Dungeon Rotation

Originally introduced in Season 17, Bungie features Raids and Dungeons in a weekly rotation to make them farmable with updated rewards. Starting with Episode: Revenant, Bungie is making 2 of each available from the rotator each week:

• Featured Raid: The disciple's last wish and promise
• Featured Dungeon: The Shattered Throne and Duality

Ritual Activities: Crucible and Gambit

Players can earn additional rewards through Destiny 2s Pathfinder system simply by playing and performing certain tasks in ritual activities such as Vanguard Strikes, Crucible and Gambit.

Trials of Osiris Map and Weekly Adept Weapon

Saint-14 and the Trails of Osiris offers players an advanced PvP activity in exchange for powerful rewards, especially for players who go flawlessly and earn a trip to the lighthouse. Similar to most providers in Destiny 2Saint-14 has a reputation system that rewards players for ranking up by playing and completing rewards.
