Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 closed out the show at the 2026 Xbox Game Showcase, with a tense gameplay trailer for the newly revamped DMZ mode, making a comeback from 2022 Modern Warfare 2. The five-minute trailer shows what players have come to expect from an extraction game with one Call of Duty tastes when a group of operatives hits the exclusion zone, things turn sideways and tense moments and frenzied shootouts ensue. All the usual fixings of extraction games like Arc Raiders and The escape from Tarkov is here, as players get their loot from downed enemies, revive fallen teammates, and try to get out of the zone in time to live another day. Modern Warfare 4s new version of DMZ will be released alongside the base game on October 23, 2026.
