The Harry Potter The HBO series promises to be a great way to visit the franchise while attracting a new generation of fans to the magician world. While the film collection was a cultural phenomenon in itself, it still had to cut down many things from the source material to fit everything within a reasonable Runtime.

For the most part, the films did a good job with this truncation. But Hardcore fans who can't get enough details in the books will love it if the HBO series does justice against the franchise's unspoken plot points.
