Minecraft's new movie content can be fun, but it hardly scratches the surface

The first is a lava chicken album that sinks after players defeated a baby zombie riding on a chicken, which is a reference to the viral chicken jockey MEME from the movie. The music record plays a reworked instrumental version of Steve's Lava Chicken Song from the movie, this time with singing from a singing villagers. The second article is a painting by Dennis, Steve's Loyal Pet Wolf from the movie. Dennis quickly became a fan favorite, and now players can hang a tribute to him in their world.

Both the record and the painting are fun little nods to the film's most viral moments, but that's about as far as possible. A Minecraft movie introduced new characters, articles and recipes that fans directly loved. Since then, society has increased with fan-made mods and Youtube tutorials that recreat film elements with the help of provisional tools in the game. But none of that has been officially added to the game.
