Marathon is a paid game with 3 maps at the launch
Bungie confirms more information about her upcoming marathon socket, including the fact that it is a paid game.
Just a month before the second anniversary of the game's announcement, Bungie finally retired the curtain Marathon Earlier today, April 12. The Sony-owned studio showed a short short-but quite varied game movies, in addition to sharing a nine-minute animated card serving as an introduction to the game world. As part of the revender introduced the developer four Marathon Classes – or “runners”, in the game's unpologetically cyberpunk jargon. The first number of playable characters consists of Blackbird, Glitch, Locus and Void.
Marathon reveals a varied hero list
The recently revealed characters are a varied group; Each of them has its own strengths and weaknesses, thus offering naturally a distinct style of play. Void and Blackbird are the more defensive characters in the four, even if not for the same reason; Void is a fairly traditional stealth specialist who has several ways to get out of problems, including smoke grenades and an active Camo costume. As such, Void, of course, gravizes against hit-and-run tactics. However, Blackbird is less sneaky and more omniscient, because they can scout enemy places.

Those who prefer to charge enemies instead of maneuvering around them should feel at home with MarathonLocus, who seems to have quite powerful offensive abilities while they fall briefly in other areas, which of course lean on an aggressive play style. The fourth and last Marathon Class that Bungie revealed today is Glitch, a fast and flexible runner who relies on her superior positioning to overcome opponents.
Bungie still holds a few cards near the chest and has just promised that two more classes will be available at launch. Both are likely to be detailed well before Marathon Meet the store shelves on September 23. Although it is possible that all six classes will already be available in the coming Marathon Closed Alpha test, everyone who is allowed to play the game early will have to sign an NDA to do so, which reduces the risk of character leaks.
