Hunters who failed to live up to their potential in solo niveness

This list contains spoilers from Solo -niversing Manhwa and Anime.

Solo department is an exciting series that is often criticized for being hyper -focused on the main character and not providing enough screen time to other characters. Throughout history, several interesting individuals with different backgrounds make their debut, but they are often overshadowed by Jinwoo's adventures.

Some of these characters also have a disappointing impact. Although they are ranked high as hunters, they fail to leave a lasting impression on the viewers and are soon forgotten. Based on their background and influence, here are some of the hunters who did not live up to their potential.

Kim Chul

A member of White Tiger Guild

  • Webtoon debut: Chapter 47

Unlike some of the other characters on the list, Kim Chul Don't be so powerful. But even though he was an A-ranker, he was considered strong enough to lead a raid party. Unfortunately, the gate that they went in showed to be a red gate and required at least one S-ranker to clear it.

While Kim Chul could have shown even leadership by uniting hunters during his command, he made a terrible mistake to overestimate his powers and choose to leave weaker hunters. One can apologize for strategic surveillance, but Kim Chul's biggest failure was not to realize Sung Jinwoo's true forces.

This is particularly embarrassing because Park Heejin could easily say he was extraordinary. Kim Chul, who was a highly ranked member of White Tiger Guild, needed to realize Jinwoos potential, and he could have saved his entire raid party.

Yuri Orloff

Russia's top ranger

Yuri Orloff Was perhaps the best barrier-magical user in the world. His skill was so unique that he was always in demand and made a fortune for himself by exploiting opportunities that came his way.

While Orloff's backstory made him seem like a successful hunter who always got the job, he eventually did not live up to hype when push came to shoot. Yuri failed miserably when it played the most and suffered tremendously because of it.

Glue tae-gyu

Korea's strongest hunter of Ranger

  • ̌Webtoon debut: Chapter 76

Glue tae-gyu was one of the few Korean hunters who were short -listed for Jeju Island Raid. As a guild champion in the Fiend Guild, he was expected to play an important role in the assignment with high efforts. But glue barely acted like a real S-ranker and struggled to influence.

Even before the raid, when the Korean and Japanese hunters saved, he lost to Hosino Minoru. There was no sense in the story where Tae-Gyu seemed to have an impressive Aura, and it would not even be far-reaching to claim that he never really motivated his rank.

MA Dongwook

Korean of tankers

  • Webtoon debut: Chapter 90

As Glue tae-gyuMa Dongwook failed to leave a lasting impression on viewers. He was also an S-ranker but led an embarrassing defeat against Kenzo Tanaka before Jeju Island Raid. Dongwook's impact during the raid was also overwhelming.

As he leads The Fame Guild, it was expected that he would at least have influencing Komos on some occasions, but MA remained a sideways character that barely fought any battle worth remembering.

Hwang Dongsoo

Korean S-ranker that moved to America

  • Webtoon debut: Chapter 24

Hwang Dongsoo was once ranked as one of Korea's best hunters. His talent was so extraordinary that he was offered a chance to upgrade, provided he moved to America. Dongsoo eventually ended with Thomas Andre's Scavenger Guild. When he debuted, Hwang seemed invincible. His presence alone made a ranker Woo Jinchul nervous about Jinwo's security.

But when Dongsoo had to fight for really, he seemed too ordinary. Sung Il-Hwan almost killed him in just a few seconds. It is bizarre how overwhelmingly one -sided their battle was. Suddenly it made Hwang not seemed as extraordinary as he was originally produced.

Choi Jong-in

Leader of Korea's largest and strongest guild

  • Webtoon debut: Chapter 62

Choi Joing-in is Korea's strongest stomach hunter. He is also the Guild Master of Hunters Guild and has played a crucial role in its success. Choi initially comes from as a calm and secure leader who can take the fight into an enemy when things go south.

But this illusion of safety and reliability soon tires when dangerous magical animals emit chaos in the human world. Choi's fire magic is violent and explosive, but it is not as effective when his opponents manage to close his distance and fight against him. Although it is one of Korea's most popular hunters, Jong-in does not really shine throughout the series.

Goto Ryuji

Japan's best hit an overwhelming end to Jeju Island

  • Webtoon debut: Chapter 85

Goto Ryuji was called the largest Japanese hunter. He was undoubtedly the second strongest hunter in Asia before Sung Jinwoos resurrected. During the Jeju Island arch, when Korea and Japan joined the ambitious raid on the abandoned island, he was appointed as an exceptional leader who would play a critical role in the assignment.

Someone so experienced and powerful died a pathetic death as he crossed paths with the King king. Ryuji failed to land a single blow to the hidden manager in Jeju Island. His overwhelming end was quite disappointing, considering how big he was hyped to be. Goto's death could have felt more acceptable if he had affected Jeju Island, but it was shocking that he barely achieved anything.
