Black Ops 6 and War zone Season 1 is coming to an end, but additional content is still pouring in for players to dive into. While those stuck with Season 1 can still enjoy additions like the Citadelle Des Morts Zombies map and the Area 99 Resurgence, others may be looking to try out a brand new weapon.

While additions like the Krig C and Saug Submachine are excellent for Season 1, melee-only players may be pleased to know that the Cleaver Melee Weapon has made its debut. However, while many of the previous weapons are included in the Season 1 Battle Pass, unlocking the Cleaver requires a different method.

Cleaver is a melee weapon that is tied to the free reward slot on Octopus game Event Pass for Black Ops 6 and War zone Season 1. To unlock Cleaver, players must earn a total of 356,000 XP during Octopus game Event runtime. Doing so will automatically unlock the Cleaver for players to equip in the melee slot for their charge.

Alternatively, if players want to get their hands on the Cleaver outright, or simply want to get their hands on an additional variant of it, players can unlock it by purchasing the Bloody Screams Bundle. The Bloody Screams Bundle is available for 1,200 COD points and comes with Blueprint variants for Cleaver, Knife and Baseball Bat.

The Octopus game Event Pass is only available for a limited time and will will be unavailable on January 24 at 10 a.m. PT. When Octopus game Event ends, Cleaver should move over to the Armory for those who haven't unlocked it.

How good is Cleaver?

In terms of melee weapons, the Cleaver is almost identical to the Knife, deal a one-hit kill to unarmed opponents in Black Ops 6 and War zone. Players can use melee weapons primary attack with the Fire button or perform a Heavy attack with the Aim button.

While the primary attack will dispatch opponents fairly quickly, the heavy attack deals a bit more damage to those facing armored opponents, and also performs a unique kill animation. Much like other melee weapons, players will too gain increased mobility while Cleaver is equipped.
