Once you reach a certain point Amber Isleyou will familiarize yourself with one of the main features of the game when it comes to the game cycle: invitations. Amber Isle starts out as a small, rather barren wasteland of lush environments and not much civilization outside of the small central town.

It is then your job, as the new shopkeeper, to decorate the island, meet the visitors of the island and send them invitations (with a small bribe inside) to make Amber Isle a successful and comfortable visit for all kinds of paleo people. This will require a lot of effort, especially when you are starting out.
All Woodbury Forest Paleofolk invitation requirements
There are three steps to inviting a Paleofolk to Amber Isle:
- Meet them in person after unlocking the region they will live within.
- Satisfy their personal requirementswhich largely involves making their chosen region's Island Rating.
- Send them an invitation from the Amber Isle Post Office, along with some Amber as payment.

Not all Paleofolk will be available to meet when you first unlock the Forest Region. Sometimes it takes a few days for them to start appearing, and some will be behind large obstacles that require upgraded tools to access. You'll know a new Paleofolk is around to meet when a question mark icon appears on your map.
Tips for increasing the island's rating
- The only grade that matters is the grade within Woodbury Forest.
- Simply cleaning up all the junk you can find and inviting some Paleo people is enough to satisfy most requirements. Garbage inflicts a minus one malus before being picked up, and each Paleofolk invited to the region will add more than ten points to your goals.
- Delivering amber and resources to the supply boxes around the forest will also increase your rating significantly.
