How To Upgrade Caretaker's Workshop In Dragon Age: The Veilguard

Like most sellers in Dragon Age: The VeilguardThe Warden's Workshop, located in the lighthouse area, is tied to the same “reputation” or strength system. Collecting enough Caretaker's Strength will allow players to level up in the shop. Players can do this by picking up Memorieswhich are special Lore Collectibles spread across the game and sold at all vendors in the world. Here are all the unlockable levels and how much Caretaker's Strength is needed to upgrade:

When players have gained enough reputation to level up the Caretaker's Workshop for the first time, they will hear a beep and see a message in the right corner of the screen that reads “Caretaker Workshop Upgrade available.”

Players must return to their lighthouse, approach the Caretaker's Workshop and interact with it to open the crafting menu. Before choosing any other option, they should take a look at the right side of the screen, in a small window where the reputation level is displayed.

Scrolling over this small menu allows players to upgrade the shop when they have enough reputation. They will have to repeat this process every time they want to upgrade the workshop, get back to the lighthouse, and interact with NPCs, because there is no other way to do it.

How To Level Up Caretaker's Workshop Fast In Dragon Age: The Veilguard

Mementos Dragon Age The Veilguard

To level up their Caretaker's Workshop faster, players should search every corner of the map looking for Mementos. Buying them from shops also works, as they often sell for 125 to 500 gold at each stall in the game.

Memories scattered across all scenarios in the game will be hidden in plain sight or behind certain structures. Players must pay attention to one faint green glowsimilar to that of Potions when they come out of the green jars, and they will need to approach and interact with these collectibles to then gain and increase the Warden's strength.

There is a total of 182 mementos in the game, and players must find them all to max out their Caretaker's Workshop.

Some memories become unavailable depending on the player's choice, as some vendors may die or disappear after some of the major decisions in the game. Buying every item in their inventory before making any game-changing decisions is the best way to prevent losing access to the memories they provide, as well as unique gear not sold anywhere else.

How to use the Warden's Workshop in Dragon Age: The Veilguard

Each time players level up in the Caretaker's Workshop, they will gain access to many important upgrades. Depending on the level of the workshop, they will be able to raise their equipment from +1 to +10 and will also be able to enchant their items for free. Each workshop level enables a new series of enchantments or upgrades previously unlocked ones.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard – How to Fast Travel

Players can use Dragon Age: The Veilguard's fast travel mechanic to quickly move between locations in the game, both locally and globally.

Enchantments can be applied to all weapons, armor, and accessories, but only one enchantment of the same type can be active at a time. This means that players cannot stack 5 +40 Electric damage Enchantments on their equipment, but they can have +20 on each type of element, if they so choose.

On the other hand, Rook's Spells and Abilities can also be enchanted in the same way. Players must select the Upgrade Skills tab in the Workshop interface to access this option. Skills and spells can only be upgraded by one effect at a time, and as items, they cannot share the same type of enchantment at the same time.

Players can also upgrade their Companions Gear, and the same rules as mentioned before apply to their Main Hand, Off Hand and Armor. For example, if Lucanis has a +20 Barrier Damage enchantment in his main weapon, he cannot have a +20 Barrier Damage on his off hand, and players must choose another one, such as +20 Bleed Damage.

Rook is the character that has more access to Enchantments: Abilities, Main Hand, Off Hand, Two-Hand, Armor, Helmet, Amulet and Rings. Players should make sure to always enchant all available slots, so that Rook's power never falls short during battle. After all, enchantments have no cost.
