Wingsuit is a brand new mobility item that players can enter Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 1. It's an epic rarity that can usually be found in chests, land swaps and rare chestswith rare chests offering arguably the highest chance of finding one.
While this item relies on a bit of RNG, it's a fairly common occurrence, allowing players to track it down without much effort. The item itself can only be worn once, but it can be exchange for another Wingsuit if you need more uses.
How to use a Wingsuit in Fortnite Chapter 7
Wingsuit is purely a mobility item used to move around the map. To use it, players simply need press the shoot button while the item is equipped. Doing so will hold them still in the air for a short time while they charge up the boost, before launching them into the air and gliding in the direction they're facing.
From here, players can use their movement keys to maneuver themselves, along with travel in the direction they are looking by moving the mouse or analog stick. Players will remain airborne with their Wingsuit until they touch the ground, after which one of their 10 total charges will be consumed, and the item enters a 20-second cooldown. When all their charges are used up, the Wingsuit will be useless.
For those looking for some tips, be careful when using the Wingsuit out in the open. When you charge it up before launching into the air, you're vulnerable to being shot at, which can result in a quick trip back to the lobby. Be sure to travel further in the Wingsuit use the object at a high height. In addition, to travel longer distances with the Wingsuit, build up speed by sliding down and then pulling up, and repeat this action.
