How to equip more combat items in Freedom Wars remastered

Quick links

There are many ways players can change their loadout for operations Freedom Wars Remastered. While larger parts to your build, such as your weapons and thrones, will be replaced less frequently, Combat Items are consumable items that have a wide range of uses and are almost all finite resources.

You'll occasionally get more combat items by completing operations, though you won't always get enough to really set up for another operation. Also, at the beginning of the game, you will only be able to equip one combat item at a time; here's how to fix both of these problems.

How to equip more combat items in Freedom Wars remastered

To equip more combat items, you must first get the right rights. Once in your cell, interact with Window On Liberty and select “Claim Rights”. From there, go to the Equipment section of Permissions and tab over to the right once to view Options for permissions for an item at the top. Each state below allows you to equip more combat items for a total of four.

The story-based limitations of these states are quickly reached, and you will be able to buy all four states when you reach CODE level 3. You also won't see the later permits because they only appear after you've purchased the permit before. Equipping a combat item also allows you to equip the entire stack, so choosing to equip a Frag grenade will really give you as many as you currently have at the start of the operation.

Your Accessories can also equip a combat item, although used at its own discretion.

Where to get more combat items in Freedom Wars Remastered

After progressing in the main story past just the first missions, you gain access to the HUB area called The Warren. There will be one shop called Zakka found along the right side of The Warren along the upper story. While you can buy weapons here, you can also select the Buy Items option to open the munitions and medical supplies lists.

  • Ammo – anything deals direct damage to enemies in battle.

  • Medical supplies – anything heals, cures ailments or refills ammo.

Munitions are priced individuallyand buying a bunch of one can cost a lot of Entitlement Points, so needing a lot of Medkits is one of the few reasons you should donate a lot of old resources. Combat items can sometimes be rewards for operations, but this is not a reliable method of farming them due to the time they take to clear and the chance of you using more combat items than you get.
