How to edit relationships
Before finalizing your Mii, be sure to do so setting aside all real relationships! If you're making Miis based on real people, like family members, you'll want to make sure that your personal Mii does not pursue romantic relationships with them!
To prevent grandma from dating cousins and so on, you must open the relationship menu and create connections between Miis. If you're not sure how two Miis are related or just don't want them to date at all, you can use the last option in the menu to just give them a vague connection.
You can set Miis as spouses here to help further along in their romantic relationship! It will still take some time.
How to edit existing Miis
Once you've created a Mii, it's okay to change your mind. Instead of deleting them and starting over, you can just edit how they look to keep their progress on your island. To do this, check out the Mii you want to edit then open the list menu and select the option to edit their appearance.
You can too edit Miis via the Residents menu!
Change the face and body
Edit a Mii opens the full character creation menu. Here you can in principle recreate your Mii without losing their relationships and levels. Change the name, face, personality and body as often as you like to reflect your taste or changes in reality.
Uses face paint
Another great tool to use is face painting. This allows you to draw directly on the Mii's face – either above or below the facial features. You can do everything from small make-up adjustments to create a complete characterdepending on how creative you are willing to be.
How to change outfits
All Miis will get clothes based on their personalities. These are simple, uniform outfits that show off their status as a new Mii. To get more clothesyou have to buy them in the store.
You can give these clothes to your Mii as individual pieces or assemble an outfit as one piece. Miis can change clothes in the same menu you edit them, open up their wardrobe and let you dress them for any occasion.
