As you explore the wilderness in Ale & Tale: Pubyou will encounter various mythical creatures, allies and monsters. Maintaining yourself is one thing, but you have to navigate everything while running your own tavern to make enough gold to survive. The final test of your skills is to face the great evil in the dungeon, if you can find it.

There are plenty of fish in the sea!
As you face this final trial, you must use everything you've learned so far to delve into the cave and defeat the formidable cult that awaits within. Thankfully, we're here to guide you every step of the way.
Where to find the cave
The last mission the merchant gives you is to defeat the ultimate evil in the cavebut he doesn't give you many directions outside of that. You are left to pursue the dark forces on your own, with everything at your disposal.
To find the cave, go out to east of the tavernalong the river. Then cross the large rocks that form a bridge continue south along the shoreline. You find the entrance to the cave along with mining supplies.
If it is night, there is one lantern that will be lit up right outside.
Make sure you bring a flashlight or lighters before entering, along with plenty of ammo for your guns. You will go in for a while, and death means starting over.
Bring food and potions to restore your health!
How to open the gates
Once inside the cave there is multiple numbered ports that block your path. You have to find the corresponding levers to open each gate and reach the inner sanctum of the cave.
It's incredibly dark in the cave, but you can light torches mounted along the floor and walls.
Look out for them all unlock an achievement!
When you enter the cave, the first door is marked with the Roman numeral for one. Take the path to the left and follow the stairs down to another gate. Use the lever here then reverse and pass first gate.
Then, use the lever by the tent to open gate number two, which is next to the first lever you used. Get back there and then jump down the ledge to reach the next area.
Be warned that there is Ghouls and Hounds within the cave! It's hard to see them, but they will cause a lot of damage.
You can loot the chest under the tent here, but keep going along the path to the left through the cave. Go through the next camp and then follow the path along glowing blue mushrooms to find another lever and a gate.
The the lever here opens gate number fourback at the very first camp you found near the entrance. Go back there and take the winding path down to lever number three.
From here you can either go all the way back around to the glowing blue mushrooms and take the stairs down to the inner sanctum, or you can jump over the wooden barricade through lever number three and take a shortcut.
You know you have reached the last area when a big bow sits in front of you in the dark. A door marked with the Roman numeral for five blocks the way forward, and the lever to open it is right next to the pillar to the left.
The Cultist Boss Battle
Make sure you are ready to deal with the cult before entering. If you die in battleyou must wander back through the cave and face all the monsters that resumed again.
If you need to reverse now bring potions, ammo or other equipmentdo it now. Speed potions are especially useful!
Once you enter the arena, the lights come on and the cultist will reveal himself. Hell float around the arena and summon Hounds and Ghouls to take you down. Whatever you do, don't stop moving!
The cultist is coming cold iron bars through the floor which will take half of your health instantly!
While the sect is much easier to deal with with friendsit can be done alone. There is two stairs on both sides of the arena, which allows you to put space between you and the monsters.
Keep rushing and firing bullets with the cultist until you deplete its health. Don't worry about the smaller enemies, because they will only waste your time. Once the cult is defeated, they will all fall dead.
The altar at the far end of the arena will be erected, revealing a staircase during. Go down to collect a statue of the cultist's trapped spiritthen go through the portal to return to your tavern. Talk to the merchant to complete the quest and continue with your daily errands at the tavern.
