When they debuted in Helldivers 2Firebomb Hellpods introduced another anarchic layer to the live-service PvE shooter. Missions like Eradicate or Blitz can take advantage of Firebomb Hellpods as their fire impact wreaks havoc on everyone below them, and yet they can often do more harm than good if a team is uncoordinated and calls in cunning or reinforcements near other players. Still, Helldivers 2 struck gold with this premise as pods have generally been underutilized aside from different color schemes and were in need of a revamp that could make them more exciting in-game.
Resupply Pods are a critical strategy that all players have access to Helldivers 2. They aren't absolutely necessary as players can scavenge ammo, boost and grenades in the environment, and yet resupplying pods is a godsend when players are longing for an objective and need to rely on a reserve of resources. Then it's even more random Helldivers 2s latest Premium Warbond, Urban Legends, has debuted a new Booster with the effect of arming resupply pods and turning them into half-decent Sentries in a jiffy.

What to expect from Helldivers 2 in 2025
Helldivers 2 ends 2024 on an incredibly high note and the sky's the limit for Premium Warbonds, updates and crossovers in 2025.
Helldivers 2's Armed Resupply Pod Booster is a good iteration on Pods
With only four boosters available in all missions, Helldivers 2s loadouts can boil down to restrictive metas pretty quickly as players choose what might be most ideal for a particular set of goals. But, aside from general health or stamina Boosters in Helldivers 2the recently unveiled Armed Resupply Pods are yet another example of a Booster pushing the limits of creativity as well as quality of life.
Armed with a mounted AR-23 Liberator, Armed Resupply Pods basically ensure players will have suppressing fire even if they're on their own or waiting for an equipped list to complete their cooldown. Resupply pods are usually called down as soon as their long cooldowns are finished, and having them armed via this Booster is a little extra firepower to help mow down any nearby enemies and basically acts as a potential fifth Sentry in players' loadouts.
Only time will tell now if the Armed Resupply Pods Booster will make its way into player loadouts on a permanent or semi-permanent basis. In the meantime, it's exciting to think about what this could mean for mainstream strategies and future metas.
The only downside to Helldivers 2's Armed Resupply Pod Booster is that the turret ammo is pretty low.
Helldivers 2's weaponized resupply pods change how resupply pods are handled
With an automated tower on top of them, supplies should no longer be called down on the backline where players end up. Rather, Armed Resupply Pods should be on the front lines where they can now contribute damage dealt alongside other Sentries such as the A/FLAM-40 Flame Sentry or the A/MLS-4X Rocket Sentry in Helldivers 2.
This makes it a bit more difficult to actually collect supplies from the pod itself, but leaving it somewhere discreet or blocked, such as behind a wall, or far back where enemies won't be, renders its turret useless unless an enemy manages to get forward. back there. Anyway, it's a lovely new Booster that could likely become a staple in some quests—Helldivers 2s Evacuate High-Value Assets mission, for one, is perfect for Armed Resupply Pods since players usually litter the environment with Sentries anyway to keep the enemy waves at bay.
This Booster will hopefully prove effective and popular in Helldivers 2 because, if that's the case, it's possible that Arrowhead will consider applying the Armed Resupply Pod's turret mount modification to every pod player that calls in. Additionally, it would be interesting to see how pods might iterate in the future beyond a tower as players continue to settle into the game's newest enemy faction, the Illuminate, and ride around the Helldivers 2's Fast Recon Vehicle.
