Playing Hades 2 in Early Access has made me really want to be good
For the first time, I'm ignoring God Mode in favor of developing my Hades 2 chops.
But fans of the series have really been missing one aspect from the previous game, and that is God of War. No, not Kratos. The original, Ares. Be it for his powerful blessings or for his rugged looks, fans really wanted to see him in the latest update.

The latest update has been well received by Hades 2 fans. Among other things, it gives Melinoe a jetpack with missile capability, so it's no wonder why they like it. But despite all his offers, players want to see Ares return. The series has been a thirst trap ever since Zag first stepped out of the pool of blood, but fans have gotten a little too thirsty now.
Maybe it was the blessings he bestowed, or his dashing side buzz, or those pronounced collarbones, or that perfectly angled jaw, or his deep gaze, or… sorry.
Supergiant has previously said that all the major gods of the Olympian pantheon will be featured in the final 1.0 release of the game, but fans have been left a little heartbroken as their favorite battle-loving deity did not make it into this update.
Even so, the new content has caused a stir in the community in the best possible way. Everyone loves the new region, the new weapon, and especially the two new gods that have appeared, Athena and Dionysius. And yes, they are also thirst traps. The new boss has also been well received, especially thanks to what it means for the overall knowledge.
Athena gives you some of the same boons she gave to Zagreus. But if you happen to pick Divine Dash – a fan favorite from the first game – she'll grill Mel and say it was her brother's favorite too. The ability is quite powerful and changes the entire flow of the game.
Hades 2 is the sequel to Supergiant Games' fantastic roguelike dungeon crawler. This time you will play as Melinoë, the princess of the underworld and sister of Zagreus, as she takes on the powers of the titan of time.
