Grounded 2 reveals the PC system requirements

Obsidian Entertainment has revealed PC system requirements for Grounded 2Which will not ask so much from older systems on minimum settings but will need a fairly powerful rig to run at its best. Grounded 2Release is just around the corner, and with the system requirements revealed, fans can double check in advance if the game will work on their computers or if they need to update them.

Launch in early access on July 29 for the Xbox Series X | S, PC and Xbox Cloud Gaming, with day an availability on Game Pass, Grounded 2 is the sequel to Obsidian's backyard survival. It is canceled two years after the first game and gives players a larger world to explore with new features, resources, enemies and much more. Players will also find expanded craft mechanics, a better combat system with Dodging and Smarter AI and much more detailed environments run by Unreal Engine 5. Now the developer has let the players know what Based 2 will require from their computers.

Obsidian Entertainment confirms the huge size of Grounded 2's starting area, which can surprise fans that played the first post in the franchise.

Grounded 2The minimum requirement asks for a rather modest installation: either an AMD Ryzen 5,2600 or an Intel i5-8400 processor, along with 16 GB of RAM. For graphics, players will need at least one AMD RX 5700, NVIDIA GTX 1070 or an Intel Arc A580, all of which are older or middle class GPUs according to today's standards. It also needs at least 40 GB of free storage – which is nothing compared to the largest PC games file sizes.

For those who want to enjoy Grounded 2Games and history at their best, but they will need something quite a bit more powerful, as Obsidian recommends a Ryzen 5 5600X or an Intel i7-10700K, also with 16 GB of RAM. In the case of GPU, an AMD RX 6800 XT or an Nvidia RTX 3080 will make the trick and offer smooth and consistent performance.

In spite of these beefier recommended requirements, the truth is that Grounded 2The smallest specifications do not ask for much – especially compared to other modern video game release. Although the sequel saw a jump in its hardware requirements, it makes sense considering what ObSidian teased during the Showcase 2025 Xbox Games, and shows off a starting area that is as large as the entire map of the original game.
