Playground Games launches Series 3 for Forza Horizon 6with a new update while adding content inspired by Italian exotic vehicles such as Lamborghini and Ferrari. The launch of Forza Horizon 6 was just the beginning of the experience for players as Playground Games continues to draw players back with a rotating series of challenges and rewards packaged in a new series update each month.
These new series, which represent Forza Horizon 6s seasonal updates, launched approximately monthly. In addition to releasing a major new patch intended to fix various issues and make improvements to the experience, they are also restoring the seasonal cycle in the game. Players are presented with a new festival playlist that features challenges and cars that cycle across Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter, each with new rewards and vehicles to unlock. While season 2 of Forza Horizon 6 was a retro-inspired series update, the latest addition draws inspiration from some great Italian exotic cars.
Forza Horizon 6 rolled out Series 3 this week, known as Italian Exotics. As part of the new series, players will have a new festival playlist to work through over the next four weeks, with Playground Games confirming that 3 brand new cars never before seen in the series are available. Specifically, players can unlock the 2024 Lamborghini Temerario, 2022 Lamborghini Huracán EVO Spyder and 1984 De Tomaso Pantera GT5 as reward cars to earn Festival Points by beating challenges. Other unlockable cars include the likes of the 2022 Pagani Huayra R, 2020 Ferrari Roma, 1982 Lancia 037 Stradale and more.
In addition to new cars, Series 3 adds more content for players to check out. While Forza Horizon 6 already filled with collectibles, this update adds the Tank Latte Cup Collectible, which are hidden in the Ito region of Japan. The Event Lab has also been expanded with 52 new props, including those with Horizon Decades branding.

The Series 3 update also adds a new feature called Series History. Similar to how Forza Horizon 6 award-winning franchise veterans, Series History does something similar for long-time players, featuring exclusive cars that can be unlocked based on the total number of playlist points earned. For those who have earned 500 lifetime points, they will be able to unlock the 1972 Mazda Cosmo 110S Series II along with an achievement to recognize the moment.
For fans of Forza Horizon 6s Aftermarket feature, the Series 3 adds some great deals on Italian exotic vehicles at the Aftermarket dealer0 located near Horizon Stadium in the Shimanoyama region. In addition, Playground Games is making 6 cars, usually exclusive to wheelspin, available as aftermarket cars for a limited time at the dealership. Specifically, players can get their hands on these vehicles for a special deal:
-
1984 Ferrari 288 GTO
-
2012 Ferrari 599XX Evolution
-
2019 Ferrari F8 Tribute

Restore all Rivals Leaderboards due to the presence of unrealistic contributions (Bug 4443235).
These unrealistic bonuses have been achieved by exploiting bugs or obtained by using Drag Tires prior to the recent physics balance changes we introduced on June 15th.
Therefore, we have made the decision to proceed with a full rollback of the affected leaderboards, which will be deleted once these exploits have been patched in-game.
We understand that this will be disappointing for players with legitimate lap times; but we have chosen this approach so that everyone has a zero to play with going forward. Regardless of the deletion of Leaderboards, any clean times posted to earn the associated Rivals collection journal items will not be lost and will remain unlocked.
Our team is also looking into fixing some issues that could be used to pollute PR stunt Leaderboards with unrealistic scores, and while we don't have a timeline yet, we expect to perform a full cleanup of these Leaderboards once the fixes roll out.
Save issue update – ongoing investigation
We continue to work on improvements across all platforms to alleviate the lost saves issue affecting some players in Forza Horizon 6.
The XBOX team has released updates for XBOX Series X|S and PC to help improve these issues. The most recent of these was July 2, so make sure your devices are up to date.
With this update, if you experience data loss, you will be presented with a conflict dialog the next time you load your game. To restore your progress, select the Cloud Save option, which restores your last saved version.
