After severe flooding in Spain, Final Fantasy 14 paused the automatic demolition hours for homes in its European data centers. The moratorium on automatic home demolitions came days before the Nov. 12 release Final Fantasy 14 Patch 7.1. In subsequent minor updates, the Futures Rewritten (Ultimate) and Cloud of Darkness (Chaotic) raids will be tested Final Fantasy 14 players to their full potential.

According to Lodestone, everyone Final Fantasy 14 residential lots in the Chaos and Light Data Centers, located in Europe, are subject to a temporary pause in the automatic demolition hours starting Thursday, November 7 at 3:33 a.m. Eastern. Square Enix did not state when the timer would resume but confirmed that the move was in response to the flooding that hit parts of eastern Spain. The heavy downpours occurred between October 29 and November 3 and became one of the deadliest natural disasters in Spanish history. The pause came a year after a similar one was carried out for several weeks following earthquakes in Turkey and Syria.

The pause in European residential demolition hours is not the only current one Final Fantasy 14. In early October, Aether, Crystal, Dynamis and Primal Data Centers for Final Fantasy 14 in North America, their timers had paused after the damage caused by Hurricane Helene in the eastern United States. While the break is still in effect, Final Fantasy 14 Property owners playing in all affected data centers can reset the automatic demolition timer to 45 days by entering any residential lots they own.
