FaZe clan battled during Twitch Stream

Members of FaZe Clan fought during one Jerk off flow. The eSports organization is known to compete in several tournaments for games such as Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Valorantand for its controversial list of Twitch streamers and content creators.

FaZe Clan is hosting a Twitch subathon until September 30, where its content creators stream 24/7 to participate in various challenges and pranks to entertain their fans. This is also a way to maximize Twitch's SUBtember, an annual event that offers subscription discounts, gifted subscription promotions, and additional Bits and Cheers for their favorite Twitch streamers. It is a highly anticipated event for viewers as they get a lot of subscriptions and support Twitch streamers, and streamers can also earn more during this period.

However, FaZe Clan members suffered a terrifying swatting incident during their subathon stream on September 19. According to a TMZ report, a person claiming to be 60 years old called 911 to claim they had committed a double murder and provided the address of the Faze Clan's mansion in Los Angeles. The stream captured the moment as police arrived outside the mansion, and viewers heard a megaphone calling for streamers to come out with their hands up.

What happened after the FaZe Clan Swatting Incident?

Fortunately, the swatting incident was quickly quelled when FaZe Clan streamers went back to the subathon afterwards. They also deleted VODs that included swatting to avoid receiving Twitch bans or suspensions. Many FaZe Clan fans expressed concern over the situation and condemned people who think swatting is a funny joke. Meanwhile, the FaZe Clan Twitter account and streamers Ronaldo and Lacy have started making memes to make light of the situation.

Swatting is a dangerous prank that involves sending the police to the content creators' homes. Streamers have become common victims because many of them share parts of their lives or stream IRL, making them easy targets for pranksters to prey on. Many notable names such as Ludwig Ahgren, Adin Ross and BeardedBlevins have been tossed during live streaming, as seen by thousands of horrified viewers.

While many streamers and content creators have come out of sweat incidents mostly unscathed, these pranks can also take a toll on them. Twitch streamer QTCinderella shared that she developed PTSD due to repeated attempts to sweat in their home. There have also been situations where people are killed by the police after being assaulted as a joke, which further shows how dangerous the act is and emphasizes the importance of providing more protection for content creators.
