An industry inner has claimed that more games from Metroidprime Series can get to Nintendo Switch at any time in the future, although it is not mentioned if these games would also get dedicated Nintendo Switch 2 versions. The original Metroidprime Released in 2002 for Nintendo Gamecube and was last remedied for Nintendo Switch 2023.
After the release of the original Metroidprime In 2002, Nintendo released Metroid Prime 2: Echoes for Gamecube 2004. Nintendo then continued to expand on the franchise by releasing Metroid Prime 3: Corruption for Wii 2007. After the success of Metroid Prime remastered 2023 many fans of the franchise hoped to see a remaster of Metroid Prime 2: EchoesAlthough Nintendo has never officially announced a port or a remaster for the modern console.
Metroid Prime 2 and 3 can get to Nintendo Switch
In a recent Twitter post, Nintendo Insider Nash Weedle claimed that everything Metroidprime Titles will get to Nintendo Switch sometime in the future. While the insider did not work out if these were to be ports or remaster, some people already express their desire to see all titles receive the remaster treatment. While Nash Weedle stated that the titles would get to Nintendo Switch, they did not mention any dedicated Nintendo Switch 2 versions of the titles. Due to backwards compatibility, both games would probably be playable on Nintendo Switch 2, although it is always possible that they can get dedicated versions for the modern console with increased faint speeds and graphics.
Many fans of the franchise are already eagerly waiting for the publication of Metroid Prime 4: Beyondwhich will be released on December 4, 2025, with dedicated versions for both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. The publisher recently made an update of the title's description, which gave more insight into Metroid Prime 4: BeyondVO-LA-MOTORCYKE and how it will be used in the game. While Nash Weedle did not provide any kind of release window for Metroid Prime 2: Echoes or Metroid Prime 3: Corruption At Nintendo Switch it is always possible that the publisher can release all three games at about the same time.
As with all leaks and rumors, this information should be taken with a grain of salt until Nintendo makes an official announcement. While ports or remaster may be on the way, it is always possible that such plans can change behind the scenes without general knowledge. With Metroid Prime 4: Beyond When he arrives until December 2025 and more potential remasters possibly on the road, many fans feel optimistic about the future of the iconic Nintendo franchise.
