The last anime Akira Toriyama worked on before he passed away, Dragon Ball DAIMA felt like a love letter to the whole Dragon Ball franchise. Dragon Ball DAIMA mixed the original Dragon Balls atmosphere and adventure, with Dragon Ball Zs plot, in a story designed to capture the nostalgia of '90s kids who grew up with Dragon Ball GT as the end of the series.
With the best animation and art direction of anyone Dragon Ball anime, DAIMA is nothing short of fantastic and is in many ways a better sequel to DBZ than Dragon Ball Super. Now almost two years since the anime premiered, Crunchyroll has finally announced a release date Dragon Ball DAIMA fans have been waiting for ages.

“DAIMA betrays Dragon Ball” Akira Toriyama's editor hated Dragon Ball DAIMA
Although the anime was written by Akira Toriyama himself, his original editor has no love for Dragon Ball DAIMA or modern Dragon Ball.

Dragon Ball DAIMA's Blu-ray is for the entire season, not the complete series
The door is still open for season 2
In particular, Crunchyroll requires the Blu-ray release for Dragon Ball DAIMA a complete season, not a complete series. While Dragon Ball DAIMA Season 2 has not been announced, the anime ended on a cliffhanger with the reveal of more Tertian Oculus. The main cast also hadn't left the Demon Realm yet, leaving room for more adventures. Dragon Ball Z: Kakarotpp Dragon Ball DAIMA The DLC even went out of its way to create a sequel to the anime.

Dragon Ball: All 5 characters who fought a legendary Super Saiyan and won
Fighting a Legendary Super Saiyan at full power is a death sentence, and winning is only possible for the strongest characters in Dragon Ball.
Dragon Ball Super: Beerus will be released this fall (probably October), with Dragon Ball Super: The Galactic Patrol anime ready to follow sometime in either 2027 or 2028. There is no reason two Dragon Ball Anime can't run at the same time, especially since Dragon Ball DAIMA and Dragon Ball Super scratch very different itches for the series. Although nothing has been confirmed yet, chances are for one Dragon Ball DAIMA Season 2 is still high and the anime deserves a sequel.
