Dragon Ball DAIMA Episode 7 Preview Teases First Tamagami Battle

Warning: The following contains spoilers for Dragon Ball DAIMA episode 6, “Lightning,” which is now streaming on Crunchyroll, and potential spoilers for episode 7, “Collar,” which will stream on November 22.

As Dragon Ball DAIMA going deeper into the series, many previously seen or mentioned enemies will continue to appear. Final showdowns against the likes of Supreme Demon King Gomah are still a ways off, and Goku has only just begun to show his power. The Demon Realm Dragon Balls could be a solution to getting everyone back into their normal aged bodies, but each one is guarded by an undefeated Tamagami Guardian. With Goku's allies still trying to reach the Demon Realm, Dragon Ball DAIMA Episode 7 may feature his most exciting fight yet.

With only six episodes in the books, Goku has gone from being unable to fly in his miniature form to pulling out Super Saiyan without much effort. The difficulty of Goku's fights has increased incrementally, though Dragon Ball DAIMA has shown remarkable restraint in that way. Early battles felt reminiscent of the original Dragon Ball series with Goku usually facing a group of woefully unprepared opponents. Even the massive Minotaur teased heading into Episode 6 turned out to be a bust, but Goku showed off his Super Saiyan form and a bit more power during a sparring session with Glorio.

Dragon Ball Daima looks like an exciting new entry into the Dragon Ball universe, and it already has a strong case for a video game.

Dragon Ball DAIMA Episode May 7 Watch Goku Find First Dragon Ball

Dragon Ball DAIMA once again gave fans a sneak peek at what's coming next with a small five-second preview of episode 7, “Collar.” First off, fans can see a familiar plane firing its weapons at a large tree-covered area before some final shots of that shot show Goku emerging from the tree line. Eagle-eyed viewers may have noticed that it's the exact same design as the plane that Gomah's Gendarmerie used when searching for Goku in episode 6, and it can also be seen in the opening sequence of DAIMA. Soon after, Goku is rolling on the ground with what may be leaves from the same tree swirling around him. Next, fans get a glimpse of Shin talking to Panzy as she points to the collar around her neck. Given the title of the episode, there may be more answers coming about these collars and how to remove them.

The most exciting part of this preview comes at the end where a zoomed out shot shows a potentially abandoned village and a doorway in the massive crumbling wall next to the village frames something in the distance. A final close-up of the same doorway i Dragon Ball DAIMA The preview for episode 7 is still hard to make out, but zooming in reveals a distant figure that looks like one of the three Tamagamis guarding the Demon Realm Dragon Balls. Shown more clearly in the opening sequence of DAIMAthis future opponent with a massive hammer seems to have the Three Star Demon Realm Dragon Ball embedded in its chest. Recent previews have occasionally spread some misdirection, such as the Minotaur seen in Dragon Ball DAIMA Episode 6 preview, so there's a chance this is just a statue of Tamagami's likeness rather than the real thing. Even so, it would still be a sign that the group is closing in on that clash.

The other big development at the end of episode 6 is that Bulma's attempt to repair a ship to get Kibito, Piccolo, and Vegeta to the Demon Realm quickly crashed again. In the end, this is a blessing in disguise as the Hybis are on their way with the much needed password that will allow them to enter the Demon Realm. Whether Goku fields a Tamagami soon or not, it sure looks like it Dragon Ball DAIMA will advance several different storylines when episode 7 is released.
