The quality mode in Death Standing 2: On the beach is largely unnecessary, according to a new report from well -respected benchmarks. Most Death -beaching 2 Players are therefore recommended to join the performance mode, especially if they play the game on the PS5 Pro.
Follow -up of one of the most unusual open world games in the latest memory, Death -beaching 2 Officially, the market met on June 26, after a short early access period available to anyone who bought one of its higher editions. Death Stranding 2: On the beach is now one of the highest ranked games in 2025
Death Stranding 2 Review Embargo has been lifted, with Kojima Productions latest title that emerged as one of the highest ranked games in 2025.
The Death -beaching 2 Graphics modes are not created equal, according to a new analysis of the Benchmarking experts at Digital Foundry (via Thegamer), which characterizes the quality preset as largely unnecessary. Although the base PS5 naturally makes a little more compromise on all settings, it was still found no problem maintaining a stable picture frequency over both positions: 30fps in performance and 60 fps in quality.
Death Stranding 2's performance location balances are minimal
When it comes to what looks different, the most noticeable visual balances such as digital foundries decreased anti-aliasing quality and less underpixel instability artifacts such as shimmering, flickering or crawling caused by very fine visual details (small structures used for things like wires or cables) that are not adapted to the screen pixel. As expected, these issues were more prominent on the base model than on the more powerful PS5 Pro. The Mid-Gen update was also on average a slightly higher resolution than the base model 1440p, but since the resolution is dynamic, the improvement is challenging to quantify, especially since the total difference is marginal.
In the end, while quality mode offers a slight visual improvement on the base PS5, it is very debatable if the difference justifies to sacrifice the responsiveness for 60 frames per second. On PS5 Pro, the answer is a clear no: Death -beaching 2The quality situation looks almost identical on performance on Sony's most powerful console to date, which makes it largely unnecessary.

The redundancy of quality mode in the more powerful console reflects Sony's long -term product messages. Ever since the PS5 PRO's disclosure in September 2024, Sony has argued that its refreshment in the middle of the gene is for people who do not want to choose between quality and performance and instead are willing to pay for the former credibility with the image speed of the latter.
