Need help getting rubber or aluminum in Starseeker: Astroneer Expeditions? This guide has it all.

Create comfort targets in Starseeker: Astroneer Expeditions

You can get the Crafting Comfort quest from Ensign Muriel. She is one of the first people you meet on the space station. To unlock it, you must complete her previous quest, “Oh, Hello”. If not available, you may need to increase your rank by completing several expeditions first.

There are 4 objectives for the mission:

  • Loot 8 plants in the wetlands.

  • Deliver 5 fire containers to Ensign Muriel.

  • Deliver 5 rubber to Ensign Muriel.

  • Deliver disposable air blaster to Ensign Muriel.

The first and last goals are simple. For the plants, just start an expedition in the wetlands and scan the area. You can look at the map for an area marked with Flora to make it easier to find the plants. All plants work for this goal, but you have to actually pick them up.

The fire caps and rubber are the most difficult parts, which we will explain below.

If you've already used the Disposable Air Blast you get from the Captain Jupiter mission, “Signs of Life”, you can always create one. You will need complete the “Field Testing” mission. from Science Officer Jessandra to unlock the Disposable Air Blast Blueprint.

How to get fire canisters and rubber in Starseeker: Astroneer Expeditions

Getting hold of the fire containers was by far the most difficult part of the mission if you don't know where to look or don't have a blueprint to make them.

The easiest way to get these early in the game is to go out on an expedition and look for EXO Debris Fields scattered around the map. These have tons of scrap and other tech resources required for multiple crafts and quests. If you're lucky, you can also find Fire Canisters.

Rubber is not found during expeditions; it is manufactured. If you have already been in Refiner and know how to refine items like rubber and aluminum in Starseeker: Astroneer Expeditionsyou only need the necessary resources. You need resin, carbon and catalysts to make rubber.

Overall, remember the delivery objectives require you to have the items and take them to Ensign Muriel at the space station. You can make room in your inventory by putting them in the Stash. The quest will still track your progress even if it's in Stash.

Now that you know how to complete the Crafting Comfort quest Starseeker: Astroneer Expeditionsyou can progress to more missions for even better rewards.
