Call of Duty: Warzone will roll out a whole new experience, inspired by Call of Duty: Black Ops 4Blackout mode, spring 2026. Introduced seven years ago, Blackout mode was Franchiset's first attempt at a Battle Royale offer, before launching Call of Duty: Warzone.
2020 was the year Activisions dedicated Battle Royale -experience, Call of Duty: Warzoneblasted. However, the basis of this success was built to a certain extent on the lessons under the development of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4Blackout mode. Although it was replaced by War zone Eventually, the situation still left its mark on some parts of the fans, who are happy to remember it to this day. Fortunately, the Blackout mode is now confirmed to return to some capacity, as part of War zoneFuture roadmaps.
Call of Duty's Blackout Mode to get into Warzone next year
During Call of Duty next event it was announced that a Blackout-the-themed experience would come to Call of Duty: Warzone Spring 2026. The developer shared that it would be set in Avalon, a map that is also expected to be in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Release on November 14. In a post on Twitter, Franchiset's official handle noticed the upcoming position as “a bold new experience” and shared a picture of a group of Vinguit-equipped players sliding through the sky by Avalon and teasing what fans can expect from this supplement. In addition to this, they recently revealed Call of Duty: Warzone Roadmap also confirmed the imminent arrival of the improved Rebirth Island and the Verdansk maps and the ranked game mode among other things.
In the comments during the post, several people expressed tension over the imminent return of blackout to Customs calls. A Twitter user shared that they were “very happy” when he saw both Blackout and Avalon included in War zoneS Roadmap. Based on the fans reaction it seems as if many Customs calls Players have positively received the latest announcement.
