Call of Duty publisher Activision has teased fans with its response to Black Ops 6 and War zones hit-registration complaint, which claims that an issue resulting in “incorrect blood effects” when shots were missed is the real issue, but fans aren't convinced. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 responds to hit registration issues

Unfortunately for Treyarch, Black Ops 6The double XP event and massive roster update weren't enough to make fans forget about the shooter's ongoing hit registration issues. Since the game's launch on October 25, players have reported many issues with Black Ops 6s hit registration. While not everyone may have experienced the problem, many claim that their shots do not connect with their opponents, despite being accurate and on target. Now, in a new statement on Twitter, Activision claims this was the result of “incorrect blood visual effects,” as opposed to a problem with the game's hit tracking.

As expected, the studio's dismissal of Black Ops 6s hit registration problem has upset the entire community. After being viewed more than two million times and counting, fans believe that Activision “gaslighted” players into believing that there are no hit registration issues and that it was actually due to blood effects from enemies when shots miss. Content creator Westie said it was “getting really tiring”, while Loochy said: “I'm sorry, but I'm not going to get fired up thinking the 'incorrect blood visual effects' are to blame.”

The issue is not just limited to Black Ops 6 either, as War zone players also encounter the same experiences in the free-to-play Battle Royale title. YouTuber FlexZ even responded with a clip asking the studio to explain how there isn't an obvious hit tracking issue with the game. In the clip, the content creator can be seen hitting several shots directly on target but did not receive a single hit marker. Only time will tell if the massive community backlash will result in a further statement from the studio.
