Elder Jinchi

Ancient Guanyin Temple

Elder Jinchi grapples with The Destined One in the Guanyin Temple.

A secret boss found in the first chapter, Elder Jinchi is only available when you ring all three bells around Black Wind Mountain. For each clock there is a boss to defeat, making it quite a journey to find this boss.

When the third bell is rung, the Destined One is immediately whisked away to the boss arena. While Elder Jinchi is not a difficult boss to defeat (not after the Wandering Wight), he drops the Fireproof Cloak, which is an extremely useful vessel for later boss fights.

Mad tiger

The bottom of the well

The Mad Tiger monologues in Black Myth Wukong.

Located at the bottom of a well in Sandgate Village, the Mad Tiger is a huge, intimidating boss that's easy to miss. The Destined One must first obtain an Old-Rattle Drum from a mini-boss, Tiger's Acolyte, found guarding a bridge at the Yellow Wind Formation.

Like its brother Tiger Vanguard, Mad Tiger is extremely aggressive with long attack combos. Not only does he hit hard, but he is quick and pulls from one corner to the other. You usually have to be very careful about knowing when to heal because this boss doesn't let go at all.

Black Loong

Hidden Loong Cavern

The Destined One charges at Black Loong in Black Myth Wukong.

A secret boss in Chapter Two, Black Loong is found near the Rockrest Flat Shrine up a flight of stairs and behind a waterfall. Once you get the Loong Scales, you will be able to access the Black Loong boss arena without any problems.

Like the Red Loong boss in chapter one, Black Loong uses lightning bolts. But this boss uses two maces, which he slams to the ground repeatedly like a drum, causing electrical shock waves. It would be a much more difficult boss fight, if it weren't for the boulders you could use to avoid the shockwaves.

Listen to the boss's music as he smashes his weapons to the beat. You can avoid getting hit by jumping to the beat while walking in the direction of a boulder.

7

Fuban

Kingdom of Sahali

Fuban appears in Black Myth Wukong.

One of the most epic cinematic boss fights ever, Fuban is a giant, multi-colored beetle that you fight as you complete a quest to find the lost kingdom of Sahali. You'll find the Yellow Wind Sage – the same one you'll fight later – trying to draw Fuban out to fight it. That's right, folks, you've traveled back in time.

Black Myth: Wukong – All Gourds

Looking for that pesky final gourd in Black Myth: Wukong?

As soon as you get Fuban's health down to a certain level, Yellow Wind Sage will join you in battle. From there it's smooth sailing and you get the Wind Tamer ship. Ironically, it's the tool that helps you win the boss fight against your former ally to end Chapter Two.

6

The Duskveil / Blood Moon General

Cloudnest Peak

Located in a secret area known as Purple Cloud Mountain, Duskveil breaks free from its prison high above the temple grounds, covered in blood. This giant of a boss has a skeletal frame, complete with an ox skull and a pair of wings. Its wings are too small to fly, and it falls to the ground and can end up crushing you if you're not careful.

Just when you think it's over, the sky turns blood red and the boss' torso starts glowing. Transforming into its second phase as Blood Moon General, it whips out a crimson blade as long as its arm. With new AoE attacks in their arsenal, you face a blood-pumping (no pun intended) fight to the death.

5

Yin tiger

Zodiac Village

A blacksmith found at the end of Zodiac Village, the Destined can trigger a boss fight by challenging Yin Tiger to a spar. One of the hardest boss fights in the game, Yin Tiger is terrifyingly fast and has long-range attacks. He also disappears and reappears, before swinging his cleaver for a devastating blow.

Once defeated, you will earn the spell that allows you to transform into the Yin Tiger. The option to create an iron armor set will also be available; you can challenge Yin Tiger as often as you like, even after defeating him the first time.

Bishui Golden Eyed Beast

Corridor of ice and fire

Bishui Golden-Eyed Beast leaps into the sky in Black Myth Wukong.

Bishui Golden-Eyed Beast is found in Chapter Five and is undoubtedly a unique boss. However, to find it you need to get the Cooling Slope and have taken out the Five Element Carts bosses before heading down the corridor of ice and fire.

When you encounter him for the first time, the boss will unleash fire. However, you might notice the ice wall at the opposite end of the boss arena. If you lead the boss there and use its flame attacks to melt the ice, you'll be able to make your way to another boss arena, where you'll find the beast wielding ice this time. There is also a third arena, where the boss will return to using fire again.

3

Giant Shigandang

The Destined One battles the giant Shigandang in Black Myth Wukong.

If you think the Shigandang boss you face in chapter two is huge, wait until you get to chapter six. Located near the Verdant Path Shrine, the Giant Shigandang boss will only appear once you have collected all four Skandhas scattered throughout the game.

Learn how to get all the spells available in Black Myth: Wukong. Not to be confused with the various transformations our monkey can use.

While its massive size can be both overwhelming and intimidating at first, all you need to do is focus on the blue crystals lining the fists. The giant Shigandang will slam his fists into the ground and cause shockwaves, but just jumping into the air should do the trick. All in all a good old gimmick boss fight.

2

Erlang, the holy divinity

Mount Mei

Alongside Sun Wukong, Erlang Shen had a grand introduction during the beginning of the match. Technically the first boss you ever fight, he is a crucial opponent that you must defeat if you want to unlock the True Ending.

Erlang, the Holy Divinity is located in the tall pagoda that you see back in Chapter 3 when you first make your way out of the Pagoda Realm. The game doesn't want to create things for easy, though, as you have to defeat a series of secret bosses to enter the pagoda. Once inside, you are in for the fight of your life.

The Four Heavenly Kings

Mount Mei

The Destined One takes on the Four Heavenly Kings in Black Myth: Wukong.

As mentioned above, there are steps to take from one chapter to the next to access the pagoda in Chapter 3. Once you defeat Erlang Shen, there will be a cutscene, where the Destined changes into a giant to finally face the Four heavenly kings.

Like Erlang Shen, The Four Heavenly Kings were introduced in the opening scene of the game, in an attempt to subdue and kill Sun Wukong. Now it's the Destined One's turn to battle all four Buddhist gods and defeat them once and for all.
