Neverness To Everness: Best Baicang build and team

Baicang may not be a strong captain of the Bureau of Anomaly in Neverness to Everness, but he's a damn strong Esper on your team!

Anyone who has already received a daffodil may know the power that comes with it The Discord reaction in Neverness to Everness, pair the strength of the Scorch reaction with Incantation damage with that of the Nova reaction from pairing it with Psyche to help out any team that relies on stagger or break damage during combat.

Lacrimosa uses specifically Break quite a lot, so adding Discord will be an important component to using her as one main DPS character on your best team comps, but the main draw of adding her is summoning her passive that triggers with Discordcalled Tomato Banquet. In battle she has both a melee and a ranged attackwhich gives you a pretty versatile fighter in Lacrimosa no matter what type of enemy you face in a fight.

She is also perfect for exploring the world, transforming into a bat as she rushes to make traversing Hethereau City easy.

Best teams for Lacrimosa

A team in NTE with Adler, Haniel, Lacrimosa and Daffodil from Neverness to Everness.

  • Best Lacrimosa team

  • Best F2P Lacrimosa Team

Because Lacrimosa relies so heavily on the Discord reaction enabled by pair her with Psyche and Incantation charactersyou'll find that her best teammates have both of these abilities, whether you're looking for a generally best team for Lacrimosa or one that's more friendly to free-to-play players.

You'll generally be wise to use your best Psyche and Incantation characters on a team with Lacrimosa, with special mention to Sakiri given her ability to increase how much damage you do with your DoT attacks, which Lacrimosa has plenty of in her kit. Fadia is the S-Rank Psyche character that goes best with her, increasing the durability of the team overall with her HP-friendly build.

Rounding out the best team for Lacrimosa is the only other Chaos character we have in the game at the time of her debut, daffodil. She's great for teams that rely on Break, so she's a good pair for Lacrimosa even before you consider the extra chance she gives to cause Discord and its associated Esper Cycle reactions.

The same element should be present in a F2P team for Lacrimosa, using Adler to inflict Spell damage and Haniel for Psyche, especially with her buffs and various other boosts. You can round out the team with pretty much any character, as these three can cause Discord without fail, so we're happy to include Edgar for some good healing abilities where needed.

The Fading Reverie banner in NTE with Lacrimosa, Edgar, Mint and Adler.

That said, our priority for them is as follows:

  1. Tempered glass judgment is most important, given that it removes HP from enemies and gives it to Lacrimosa, also preventing Nightmare g from being removed should they happen to heal after.
  2. Lord of the Almighty Tomatoes increases the time Nightmare deals damage by a full second, which is a 20% increase to the damage duration of a DoT move.
  3. Clout Out Clemency increases the damage dealt by Nightmare, which is especially potent if you have that extra time boost from the Almighty Lord of Tomatoes.
  4. Morning spell increasing the amount of damage Lacrimosa can do against enemies hit with elemental damage from an Esper cycle, especially with Discord so potent with her best builds as well.
  5. Melted ice cream helps Lacrimosa instantly trigger Nightmare stacks after a full five-turn attack by Sweet and Sour in either form, melee, or ranged.
  6. Rise and Shine is a nice way to round out the best Lacrimosa builds in NTE, given the relatively unexciting increase in her damage after using Support Skills to switch into combat.
