Ball X Pit is a relatively easy game to understand and one that doesn't let go as soon as players start. They start with a hero who will shoot out his special ball and baby balls at regular intervals. It's a roguelike that's also an on-rails block breaker game, which is a huge collection of genres, but after one run everything will click.
When players defeat enemies in Ball X Pitthey will level up, which then gives players access to three random upgrades. There are passive skills, and then there are balls that can be added to the arsenal, from fireballs to poison balls. Which balls will make the players stronger on their runs? This is what they get.
Burn: Damage enemies over time with fire
Fire is a classic feature of RPGs and video games as a whole. Burn ball can damage enemies once and also has a chance to ignite them to cause burn damage for a short period. It's a great ball throughout the game, but it's especially useful during the second stage, which is based around ice enemies.
Most fusions with Burn Ball will simply add fire damage to the base attack, but there are some unique examples, such as when combined with Iron Ball, the combo will turn the area into an effective bomb ball.
Laser (horizontal/vertical): Attack rows and columns with lasers
There are two types of laser balls in the game. There is a horizontal version, which will hit random rows of enemies, while the vertical version will deal with columns. Like a game Tetrisattack entire rows or columns of enemies i Ball X Pit can be very beneficial. The damage isn't that great at first, but with upgrades, players can quickly decimate the enemy field.
Together they can form the Holy Laser, which will have a more limited range, but it will attack vertically and horizontally. Otherwise, fusing any of the laser balls to most types of balls in the game will simply add the other's effect to the base damage. Players can create a horizontal flaming doomlaser, for example, and that's not a bad combo.
Poison: Damage over time with Poison
Poison is a classic status effect in gaming, and its purpose i Ball X Pit is the same as most. Hitting an enemy with Poison ball can cause them to become poisoned and thus take damage over time. Using a Poison Ball is a way to break through bigger enemies, like sub-bosses, faster.
One of the coolest fusions that players can use the Poison Ball for is the Virus Ball, which also acquires the Bleed Ball. It's a deadlier form of poison that will eat away at the insides of enemies, but overall the Poison ball's base effect is useful.
Vampire: Has a chance to heal
The base attack of the Vampire ball is not that high. But what makes it a good ball is that it can restore health to the players. At level one, there's a chance that one HP can be restored per hit, but since players will likely kill a hundred or more enemies in a single run, that's not a bad starting number.
Plus leveling up the vampire ball increases its effects. The Vampire Ball isn't as cool as having a real vampire join the fight, but it's still a great way to heal. For a good combo, try fusing the Vampire and Iron orbs to get the Vampire Lord.
Egg Sac: Explodes into baby balls
The Egg Sac ball is one of the scariest in the game, without a doubt, but getting past the creep factor, it's also very useful. When it hits an enemy, the Egg Sac will explode into baby balls and ricochet off other enemies. The more it is upgraded, the more baby balls can potentially bounce around so much that they flip Ball X Pit into a pinball game.
There is another ball that can help create baby balls, the Brood Mother, and when that ball is fused with the Egg Sac, it will create the Spider Queen. If players want to see true mayhem, they should always aim to fuse these two balls together as the Spider Queen can dominate any map in the game.
Earthquake: Attack multiple enemies
The Earthquake Ball is one of the rare types in the game that can target multiple enemies. Within a few squares of the impact point, several enemies will take damage, and the damage will decrease as it spreads. Leveling up the ball will increase strength and range of effect, but there is another way to strengthen the ball as well.
Instead of relying on fusing another ball to Earthquake, players should look to Magic Staff, which is a passive upgrade. This upgrade can extend the area of effect of the earthquake ball, along with several other types, including the various laser balls. If players are lucky enough to have the Earthquake Ball and one of the Laser Balls equipped along with the Magic Staff on hand, then enemies don't stand a chance.
Freeze: Stop enemies in their tracks
The last ball worth looking for is the exact opposite of fire in an RPG: ice. IN Ball X PitThe Freeze Ball is an ice elemental that has a chance to freeze enemies on impact. At the lower levels, the amount of freezing won't stop enemies for long.
However, at higher levels, the freezing process can buy players enough time to get away from a boss attack. Finally, the Burn and Freeze balls can be fused to create the mighty Frozen Flame ball, which is an icy hot disaster that brings out the best of both worlds, but fusing Freeze with most balls in the game can also create positive results.
