Destiny 2 disables popular exotics and plans Nerfs for High Damage Super
Bungie is disabling a popular exotic armor in Destiny 2, while also confirming plans to take down a super ability that does too much damage.
Recently, Destiny 2 received a major mid-season update that gave a huge boost to many subclasses in the game. As such, many players began testing out some of the more underutilized super abilities in the game, creating new sounds and builds to see what works and what doesn't. TItan's Sentinel Shield subclass was also on the receiving end of some much needed buffs, with one player in particular showing just how strong this subclass obviously is now.
Destiny 2 Player survives a Cabal Drop Pod
Post on Destiny 2 subReddit, a player named DoctorNotorious posts a short video of his Titan surviving a direct hit from a Cabal Drop Pod. A mechanic that has long ago struck a chord with many players thanks to their ability to surprise land on unsuspecting players, Doctor Notorious seems to time a Destiny 2 Titan barricaded class abilities perfectly, and with some of the status buffs, like Devour, applied during the move, they were able to survive. The drop pod itself immediately destroyed the shield, removing half of their health in the process, but what would have been an automatic KO instead saw them walk away from the event.
Naturally, the community was largely stunned by what they saw, many posting memes or referring to DoctorNotorious as “John Destiny” in reference to John Wick films. Some were impressed by the obvious build, and many speculated that the player had at least 10 resistance when using the Bastion barricade option with Echo of Starvation to proc Devour. Either way, the post itself is likely to prompt some to attempt something similar while playing through Destiny 2's Onslaught: Salvation game mode, where the Cabal and their Drop Pods can be seen frequently.
