Amazon has revealed that it interrupts the Prime Gaming brand in a message to Amazon Prime subscribers. However, users should not panic, as the change will not have such a major impact on Amazon Priming Gaming subscribers as one can initially expect.
Since Amazon owns live streaming service Twitch, it has historically given benefits to Amazon Prime subscribers for the service. Those who enjoy included services such as free shipping on Amazon via Amazon Prime can also take advantage of the service to subscribe to a Twitch channel for free every month. This gives the usual benefits for the chosen streamer without taking any extra money from the subscriber's pocket. Amazon Prime Gaming also gives subscribers access to free games every month.
Amazon reveals change to prime -game
In a new edition to subscribers, Amazon has revealed that the main game brand retires, but that users' benefits will not be adversely affected. According to Amazon, subscribers at Prime Service will still enjoy the same benefits as they have expected, but it will now be integrated into Amazon Luna, the company's cloud game service. Amazon assured subscribers that users will still be able to get a Twitch subscription per month, plus expanded EDE sets, chat colors and extended broadcast storage they expected on Twitch during Amazon Prime Gaming, without any significant differences made on how to redeem these options. In addition, free games will still be provided to subscribers on a monthly basis.
This change may seem familiar to prolonged subscribers by Amazon Prime who have had the jerk benefits it provides. As early as 2020, the service underwent a similar experience and shifted from what was then called Twitch Prime to the new name Amazon Priming Gaming. At that time, apart from changing the name, the main change was that Amazon Prime subscribers could use its advantages on Twitch without subscribing directly to Livestreaming service by using their Amazon accounts instead. As in that case, the chance is that users will not experience any significant frustrations with this change.
Amazon has made significant changes to its main subscription over the years, added and removing features and benefits for subscribers that it looks appropriate. Reducing the Twitch benefits would probably affect a significant number of streams negatively, so it seems unlikely that Amazon will make a change in this feature at any time soon, especially when other live streaming platforms such as Kick try to attract live streamers to use their service instead of amazons.
